Looking for "Peace and Quiet", escape and unplug at our cabin in the woods. Yards from the Chippeway Trailhead; a charming treehouse nestled in the pines awaits. Enjoy your coffee as you stroll the trail listening to the chipmunks and birds awakening to the morning sun. Abundance of wildlife, sites of red fox, elk, deer. Settle in under the Aspen trees, star gaze the night away, and wake to the forest fresh air. The Chippeway Trailhead #247E has several trails to hike or ATV at your disposal in this private setting. There is forest trail requirements posted for CC allowances. Extra Garage lot has firepit, chairs, outdoor kitchen, canopy, BBQ, for outdoor fun. Located approx. 6 miles from Cloudcroft, off Hwy #130, past Sunspot Hwy, the cabin is equipped with High Speed Wifi, electronic Lock Keypad, security cameras; is within minutes to skiing, more hiking, fishing, hunting, shopping, biking, rock climbing, restaurants, and bars. "Peace & Quiet" features a Living Room with an electric Fireplace, space heaters throughout, fully furnished kitchen with Stainless Steel appliances, one bath with shower, the upstairs loft has a bedroom with a Queen Bed and separate twin beds, all accessed by a ladder stairs, This is not your grandma's cabin, newer, modern, no smells, nice windows to catch the breeze. The cabin was beautifully decorated and clean. My husband and I loved the trail near by and took our dogs on a nice walk there. Definitely need an all wheel drive to access the cabin.

This cabin is so charming! Every detail is perfectly planned and the hospitality was exquisite. It’s so cozy and comfortable. We loved the rustic feel and modern amenities. The beds are comfy, and the electric heater/fireplace casts a perfect winter forest vibe. We loved our stay and would definitely return. The host left us delicious pastries from KenneBelle’s bakery (definitely get the pistachio bread!) and we felt so at home. We miss it already!

"Peace & Quiet" is everything it's described to be! My pup and I spent a full work week in the cabin for some respite before heading into the new year; and it was just perfect!!! My 4-legged companion really struggles with firework holidays, and this was the perfect spot for her to be able to get a restful NYE without the typical stress. Our favorite part was having a trailhead just steps out the front door. We had snow the entire first day of our stay and afterwards were able to identify bobcat, bunny, and wild turkey tracks along the trail in the snow drifts!!!!

We were looking for peace & quiet and that's exactly what we found. We also enjoyed the nearby trail and the opportunity to commune with nature. The description of Peace & Quiet is very accurate and we had everything we needed for an extended stay.

Kelly is amazing! You can feel the love that she has put into this property. This cabin is a slice of heaven. It is so warm and so cozy, peaceful and quiet! The trail head access is perfect for an afternoon hike. The garage with the fire pit and outdoor kitchen made for prefect evenings! Bring a hammock!

Great property

This was our second visit to this property and it lives up the the name of Peace and Quiet. It's a great cabin in a very quiet location with lots of access to nature.

Nature Retreat

A very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Seeing pines outside your window and enjoying the sounds of nature was a pleasant experience. There’s an entrance to some hiking trails just a couple yards from the cabin that you can fully enjoy. Communication with the property manager is excellent.

Pine Trees Paradise

Loved staying at this quaint cabin in the midst of spectacular pine trees and right off a fabulous trail head into the national park. The nights were quiet and peaceful and the accommodations were exactly what we were hoping for on our getaway vacation. Would love to come back!

I have lived in Ruidoso, NM for forty plus years and been visiting to Cloudcroft forever. Finally, my dreams have come true to have a place to escape the busy tourist life of Ruidoso and getaway to the peace and quiet of Cloudcroft., hence the name. Just forty miles from Ruidoso, it is a great escape for us and hope it is for you also. We can't always be there with our busy lives, so we want others to experience this unique property. We love the great outdoors and New Mexico, so hiking, dirt biking, 4 wheelin, and grillin are our favs and this spot captures the outdoors with a convenience that can't be matched. Reading a book to the rain on the metal roof, is the best relax, promise. We like adding a special touch to our properties and try to think of all the things you might need for that picture perfect vacation. Ask about our other places coming online soon. Please remember to pack it in, pack it out while in our gorgeous state.
Cash, the trail dog and I, hope to see on the trail real soon....

We wanted secluded, near the forest with trail access but easy access to Hwy and Cloudcroft close by. Tons of trees, (friendly neighborhood when we see them), shed for storage and parking, cabin is the cutest and perfect size. You feel like you are in a treehouse and/or camping but modern conveniences like plumbing.

50 Yards to the Trailhead, numerous trails to conquer, parking for your ATVs, trailers, newer cabin, built in 2013 so super clean. Abundance of wildlife close to the cabin yard, elk, deer, red fox sightings noted. Great spot to animal watch, watering hole near by.
