Sandstone Studio w/Private Courtyard, 20 minutes from Zion

We aim to complement the experience of visiting Zion by bringing the feeling of the outdoors inside: natural light, airy ceilings, and canyon colors. A glass door and tall windows make the private courtyard feel like part of the interior.

(Please note that - alas! - we cannot allow pets. We do love animals, but allergies intervene.)

Newly built in 2020, the studio is attached to our home but functions as a totally private apartment with its own entrance, gated courtyard, kitchenette, climate control, and smart TV. We have two adjacent studio rentals and courtyards with similar accommodations, also attached to our home. All are fully electric and run on solar power.

Our memory foam mattresses are comfy as all get-out and we went out of our way to make sure the showers are exactly what hikers are looking for after a long day: great water pressure and giant, fluffy towels! This is a great spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Zion area and a well-placed launching pad for your next outing.

Absolutely no open flame, please! Things like candles and the like. To everyone's chagrin, our town doesn't have a fire department.
Quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am, as most of our guests are here to go hiking and plan to wake up early.
Local laws state we can only host a maximum of 2 people in any of our studios. Legally, we cannot bend on this or we risk losing our license.

Beautifully appointed room/bath; very nice hosts. Close to La Verkin and Springdale, good choices for dining and shopping. (Zion entrance is through Springdale.) Very much enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable, cozy room and close to Zion!Host was always responsive and check in was so easy. Not hard to find the place at all and they gave us easy to follow instrutions to get in. Will definitely stay again and recommend to anyone planning a trip to Zion.

Amazing detailed information up front that made check in and arrival a breeze. Beautiful, clean, and spacious place that was exactly was described. Great home base for Zion! Excellent communication and above and beyond help when I thought I left something. Couldn't have asked for more!

An oasis! This rental was similar in size to a larger hotel room - a room for a bed and little kitchenette and a bathroom - but so much more private and personal. Diana was a phenomenal communicator, and incredibly prompt - from booking through our stay. And she's thought of everything! The explanation of how to get to the location, the code to get in, a couple of water bottles to help satiate our thirst, and a beautiful bathroom and shower - we couldn't have asked for more! When we come back to Zion National Park, we'll be staying here for sure!

This was one of our best vacation rental experiences ever. The house is small but cute and doesn't feel crowded. Bed was super comfy. And the hosts left thoughtful items (water, snacks, basic feminine products). This was a perfect home base for soaking at Zion Hot Spring! Oh, and communication with the hosts was clear and prompt. Overall, a five star experience!

Beautiful cozy room

It was very cozy and the art was beautiful! It was 20 minutes from Zion Park and 20 minutes to the nearest town. The owner was very responsive to our questions and had great recommendations. We would definitely stay there again.

Close to the Canyon

We were a short easy drive from Zion National Park. The property was not big but was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The shower was excellent and the bed was comfortable. Communication with our host was excellent and she was concerned with our satisfaction with the apartment. We would recommend the property for the combination of value and proximity to the national park.

Great hosts

Room just as pictured. The hosts left a bottle of water, some snacks and coffee and tea. It was very nice to have that little extra since we didn’t have meals in the room. Super easy to find with Google maps and easy to check in and was a great room for the couple of nights we were there.

Hello! I'm a Chatty Kathy backcountry guide with an optimistic disposition and fondness for animals of all sorts. I live right outside Zion National Park and most of my favorite activities happen therein: canyoneering, backpacking, hiking, climbing, and watching wildlife do what wildlife generally does. My favorite topics of conversation include outdoor goings-on, stories of bravery and chutzpah, movies and how they should have been written better, and the gut microbiome. I look forward to meeting you. :)

My husband Ethan and I moved here over ten years ago to work as canyoneering and rock climbing guides. We've been doing that ever since! The Zion area's slot canyons are incredible, and I could go on about how much I love them for days.
