WORST VRBO EXPERIENCE EVER IN 20 YEARS of renting VRBO properties. I have never had to write a review like this.This property is non-compliant with basic VRBO policies, like providing a safe home with locks on all doors. It is out right negligent when it comes to safety. Two main downstairs doors in the kitchen did not have locks. One French door you could just push open, not to mention the cold air that came through the hole in the door. The whole reason I booked this home was for my 4 grandchildren in the bunkbed kids room, which is downstairs. All adult bedrooms are upstairs with no NO LOCKS to secure the home downstairs where the children sleep. My son arrived the second night and rigged an extension cord from the kitchen door handle to a drawer, just to provide some type of safety. I made numerous calls to the property management who kept telling me through texts that the problem would be resolved by sending a locksmith over; however that never happened during our entire stay. Also, I believe the management company is not even from Reno. They would never make a direct phone call to me or send someone over to address the problems (also issues with the heating system that had faulty remotes that did not work). The only way they would communicate is through text messages.The management company first offered a 5% discount, but I insisted on 10% at the very least, which also required numerous texts from me and is still not resolved.
