With views of Penn Cove and an easy walk to downtown or a short uphill hike to Price Sculpture Forest, this sweet cottage is perfectly located to take full advantage of your stay. Pet friendly, quiet neighborhood, with bunnies, squirrels, and deer sharing the yard, there’s a lot to love about historic LoveJoy Cottage. 5 miles to Port Townsend Ferry and 13 miles to Deception Pass bridge and State Park. Many other beautiful parks and hiking trails close by.

Just what my wife and I needed! The two of us are local, but needed a getaway while contractors tore our bathroom apart. Coupeville is a wonderful place to visit, and this property is an excellent choice for small families traveling with a pet. The communication from the host is fantastic, the check in process is quick and easy, and the property is wonderfully decorated and admonished with thoughtful gestures to help enhance your stay. A lovely stay

We had a great time staying here with our pets. It's a very quiet place and we enjoyed the freedom that the kitchenette offers as it is well supplied. The view of the water from the big window is amazing during sunset. Also really close to town!
There was comfortable space for my dog, which is a huge benefit.

Cute, cozy cottage within walking distance of Coupeville waterfront. Surrounding neighborhood had lots of deer wandering around and during our stay there were plenty of ripe blackberries available to pick.

Wonderful spot!

Friend and I stayed here while competing at a show at the Whidbey Equestrian Center. So nice to be close, and had everything we needed. Susan was super easy to communicate with. Will stay here again!

Great Break

We had a great stay. The owner lives next to the home and we enjoyed watching them take their little pack outside. There were also a lot of deer and bunnies. The place was really comfortable and we will be back.

Simple place great location.

Great little cozy place to stay. Susan was very gracious and accommodating. Lots of information in a binder along with a park pass (needed if you intend to visit any of the parks). The host house is right beside it but still feels private. The bathroom/kitchen sink are same which is a little odd but it’s a historical house after all.

We spent most of our lives in Sonoma County, CA - but a road trip to help friends move led to discovering beautiful Whidbey Island and historic Coupeville. We immediately began a search for our future retirement location, and within 3 months found the perfect spot. Over the next decade plus, we rented the main house and stayed in the cottage while we finished our careers…finally making a permanent move in 2021. We love living in this friendly small town in an incredibly beautiful setting.

Living so close to the water is a dream come true. We are a short 2 blocks from the water in a quiet neighborhood…many deer and rabbits call our yard home. The community is idyllic, and the natural beauty astounding no matter the weather…so many amazing parks and hiking trails are available, and we take advantage of them all.

The home and cottage are both circa 1900. Completely renovated in the 90s, the cottage is filled with historic photos of the area and antiques. Our home is a work in progress, but the cottage is comfortable and up to date. We love our pets, with 4 small rescue dogs and a kitty…they are often in the yard during the day, so communication is important if you bring your fur baby. We have a pet protocol which involves single word texts to one another to avoid any contact with our pack and your pet!
