Northern Blessings - LARGE, PRIVATE, AND COMFORTABLE!

Northern Blessings is a large, cute, comfy, and casual home in the heart of northern Michigan! Features huge master bedroom with indoor private jetted tub and private en suite bathroom! Large living room with lots of seating and a wet bar! Central A/C and high-speed Wi-Fi! Huge outdoor deck with outdoor dining furniture and gas grill! Great proximity to Otsego Lake, downtown Gaylord, snowmobile trails, and area golf courses and ski resorts!

NEIGHBORHOOD:

The home is in a fairly private and secluded area just off of Otsego Lake Road. It's at the north end of Otsego Lake, but does not include lake access. Otsego Lake State Park is at the south end of Otsego Lake, about 5 miles from the cabin. The cabin is in a great location for exploring northern Michigan as it is close to Otsego Lake and downtown Gaylord (with lots of shops and restaurants). It's also close to numerous golf courses, ski resorts, and snowmobiling trails in the area.

GUEST ACCESS:

Guests have access to the everything except the detached garage, which is not for guest usage. (Guests do have access to the 2-car attached garage, which is very convenient during the winter months.)

THE SPACE:

The home is beautifully decorated with a "northern Christian" theme throughout the house.

TRANSIT:

It is highly recommended that guests have their own vehicle.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

(1) Just to avoid confusion, the hot tub is an indoor jetted tub that is in the large upstairs bedroom.
(2) There are some Christian-themed decorations throughout the house. If this bothers you, then we would suggest that you simply book a different property.

Roomy & at Home Feeling

House was clean and well kept. All the amenities I wanted to stay a week like 2 bathrooms, washer & dryer, and a dishwasher! Private and nice scenery, but very close to shopping and restaurants!

Nice, comfortable stay!

The home was very comfortable and the openness of the first floor was very nice. Great deck area to enjoy the outside space. Home was clean and the check in process was great! Good location to get anywhere in the area quickly. Would recommend and would stay again.

Gaylord Area Vacation

This place fit our needs well. Convenient to golf and restaurants. Three adults in our group so we had more bedrooms than needed but glad to have the second bathroom.

Tournament wekend

We looked for something that would accommodate or sitation for the weekwnd. We were attending a volleyball tournament and family was meeting to stay to watch also.. Tbe house was large enough that we could have held a team dinner there, but we didn't. We did use the grill and cooked out though. The location was cklose to places we wanted to go and need to be. Beds were comfy and we grested well. Check-in was easy and Tabitha was prompt to answer questions and provide info..

We really enjoyed our stay at Northern Blessings, &would love to come back again next summer. Check-in was simple & check-out was 11am - which was terrific. The house was roomy, with updated furnishings, & provided plenty of space for our whole family - 7 adults & 2 kids. The dining table had room for all of us to eat & play games. There were very basic utensils for cooking, but now that we are aware of it we'd bring what we needed in the future. The master bedroom mattress was fantastic! I actually felt rested when we left because we didn't have to sleep on a cheap foam mattress. The towels & sheets were good quality. There are no extras provided, so be sure to bring extra TP, lawn chairs, & firewood. The hot tub was a hit, and the A/C worked really well. Wi-fi worked well, but 2nd TV wasn't hooked up. We appreciated the washer & dryer and the usable, attached garage was a bonus. There is a volleyball court, but it was not useable when we arrived. The kids loved using it as a sandbox, though. The firepit & grill were great amenities, too. There were a few minor issues, but the management company were very responsive to take care of them. It sounds like Agape Mngmnt will not be managing the property after summer 2025 so hopefully the owner/new manager will be just as helpful. Gaylord is a beautiful area, &centrally located about 1 1/2 hrs from each side of the state. We loved the local beach, and picked blueberries at the Up North Blueberry farm. This is a great place!

golf trip

The house was exactly what we were looking for. spacious with plenty of room to hang out after a day of golf. the bedrooms were comfortable and clean. No complaints.

Wonderful!

We booked this place for a 30th birthday/girls weekend and it was great! So much space to fit our group! We filled every bedroom and still had more then enough space. It was very clean and had plenty of mirrors for all the girls to get ready. I find airbnbs often don't have a lot of mirrors and with a big group of girls that was very nice! We will be back for sure! We had so much fun we even talked about doing it once a year.

Stayed two weeks

Note that we stayed two weeks so we were actually living and working here while we got another house opened to stay at for the summer. Most people won’t stay this long and may have a bit of a different view because of this. First of all, the price for the size of the house is incredible. Our experience with the property managers was pretty good. The reason I say pretty good is because there was an outlet that didn’t work in the bathroom and a hole in a bedroom wall. The property manager asked if she could send someone over to fix both. I said sure. We never heard from her again in over a week. Never fixed However, while everyone says the place is spotless, it really isn’t. It’s okay but far from spotless. But that, again, might be because we saw things in two weeks others might not notice for a couple of nights. There is a bedroom and bath downstairs which worked well for us as we had someone with us who has challenges with stairs. Other bedrooms are upstairs. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were good. We used the washer and dryer. Worked well. Kitchen has minimal supplies. A few of everything but not a lot of anything. And the pots and pans and knives were not very good. However, you might not need to use those. Overall we were happy with the house. It’s not a 5 star across the board in our opinion but it was okay for what we needed. And the price is great. Location is actually nice if you want some privacy and yet still be a few minutes from downtown Gaylord.

We loved this home so much! Comfortable, room for us all to have our own space, except for our dog, who very happily followed us wherever we went. So glad we could bring him with us. The area is filled with all kinds of fun things to do, and is in "near enough" proximity to Mackinac Island and the UP. The following *in no way* affect our 5-star review, but just some notes in case someone suffers with a chronic illness or environmental sensitivities (as I do):1. The living room is very quiet, being on the back of the house. Some traffic noise through bedroom windows, nothing too loud. It's not all day long and it didn't affect our sleep.2. The living room gets very bright during the afternoon especially, and there was no way to mitigate the sun coming through the windows in and surrounding the door to the deck. The glare on the TV was significant enough that we couldn't see it clearly during the day. (We rigged up black construction paper to handle it, since I'm very sensitive to light, so I could still be with my family.)3. There were no obvious scents or smells, which was so nice. The cleaning staff do a great job!4. The water smelled faintly of ladybugs. No skin reaction, so I assume it had something to do with being a little bit in the country. It had a taste, so we mostly just drank bottled water during our stay. If you aren't sensitive to water taste or smell, this probably won't bother you at all. We loved this place and hope to visit again!

Family vacay

We rented this house because we had other family who rented a house down the street. The house is in a location with no other houses in sight. When we got in the house, the smoke detectors were not hooked up to the walls, and we had a couple other issues. Reached out to the property manager and she came over the next day to fix it. The house had a unique smell (mildew, smoke, cat litter). There were no dead bolts to lock the exterior doors, which made me uncomfortable. I was happy that we spent most of the time at our family's house that they rented instead of hanging out here. Not a 10/10 like the other reviews.

Conveniently located just minutes from town, plenty of room if you have a large group, and lots of parking space. I'd stay here again.

Great place

This is our second time staying at this home. It has everything we need and hosts are easy to communicate with. Easy to find off I75 yet quiet. We plan to stay again on our trip next fall.
