Nice stay with some disappointments...
My two adults sons and myself stayed 5 nights during the 2024 Final Four college basketball tournament. The home was very clean with wonderful backyard amenities (pickleball!) which we made good use of. Hosts responded quickly via vrbo messaging about any problems we encountered (i.e., chirping smoke detector that woke up us at night), but we felt they were slow to act. We were mostly disappointed that the large television/lounge area on the lower level had a nonworking tv. When we messaged the host, they advised us to make sure the roku device was securely inserted in the back of the television and to look around the home for the roku remote that perhaps the cleaning crew had not been able to locate. We looked extensively for the remote (no luck!) and the large tv was flush mounted to the wall so we could not check the back of the tv unless we removed it from the wall. When we communicated this to our host, they said that the tv would be fixed before the next guest arrived. What?? To be fair, there were 7 other televisions in the home (in bedrooms, outdoors, dedicated to gaming, etc.), but the ONE television best suited for communal viewing was not operable. Disappointing! For the cost of this rental, we expected more.
