Country stay with all you'll really need to enjoy your time away from home.
2Queens and 1Double allows up to 6 adults. The double is a bunkbed so there is a twin above and a twin trundle beneath for kids only. The bathroom has a tub/shower, an electric heater and several towel hooks. The full size kitchen has lots of counter space or take it out back to the fire pit and/or BBQ. Folding camp chairs are stored in the shed to keep clean. and there is also a folding table for fixing your hamburgers on! The brand new A/C unit keeps it cool for summer and the Berkshire gas stove makes winter feel good! The livingroom is also inviting if you just sit back and watch for wildlife in the big bay window. But my favorite thing to do is sit out on the porch swing early morning. I make a coffee and listen to the song birds hoping to greet the sun. You may see a horse and buggy pass by but you'll for sure hear the clip clops in the near distance. Remember to drive with caution as you'll be staying in a Mennonite community.

Fell in love with this house not just for the location since we were racing nearby, but the coziness and thoughtfulness of the host’s amenities was impressive. She thought of everything. Loved the labels everywhere which helped immensely, a welcome basket was enjoyed by our group, lots of kitchen supplies that made cooking a breeze, and so many extras that if you forgot something she had it available! The porch swing biew was so relaxing in the morning to get s breather from the hustle and bustle we are used to. We cant wait to come back if we are scheduled to race there again.

Such a cute property with everything we needed in the house! We meant to take a card game but forgot. We opened the cabinet and there it was! Lots of guides and literature for the area. Great stay. Great host. Great location!

Don't look any further! One word"PERFECT"! Very clean,quiet,secluded, lots of space! Host,Kathy,thought of everything! If you forgot something don’t worry it is there! Great little touches and thoughtfulness throughout the entire place! Saw deer almost every morning! Even toads! We didn't want to leave! Book this place! You won't regret it!

Our family had a wonderful week in the Finger Lakes and this property was the perfect home base for all our adventures! Communication was friendly and clear from the beginning, check in was super easy, and the house is adorable! Very well appointed, and versatile enough to be a cozy spot for a family, a couple, or even friends. Our kids 8 and 6 enjoyed the large private yard and trails on property to explore, and there were little toys, books, and movies for them to use as well. The house was immaculate and everything well labeled. The owner has thought of everything! And the location was great, central to several cool areas so each day we could explore a new place. Great home, would recommend to anyone!

We had a great stay at Kathy’s place! We were in town for wedding at Climbing Bines and the commute was less than 10 minutes from the venue. The home was very clean, beautifully decorated, private, and super comfortable. Also, a huge plus that it was kid friendly! Kathy is a great host! I would recommend staying here if you’re ever in the area!

Perfect Girl’s Getaway

We really enjoyed staying in this super clean and well appointed home that was close to all the activities we wanted to do while remaining quiet and peaceful. We were impressed by how thoughtful the extra touches were and how easy the entire process was. We would love to stay again. It’s a very special place and we couldn’t have asked for a better host and “home away from home” for our first visit to the Finger Lakes! Thank you for everything!

Heaven in Himrod Lives Up to the Name!

First off, Kathy is such a pleasure to work with! Her communications with us and attention to all the details were incredible. Her cottage was so quaint, homey, and welcoming after a long day on the Seneca Wine Trail! The decor inside is so inviting and tastefully done. Her gardens are a plant-lovers dream! The beds gave us a peaceful resting place so that we could return to the FLX sites again the next day. The were plenty of supplies to make our stay so comfortable and comforting. First class all the way!We are all so grateful to Kathy for welcoming us into her beautiful retreat. We had such a wonderful visit and would highly recommend her place to anyone! We will certainly be back to the FLX and Heaven in Himrod Cottage!

Girls Weekend Getaway

Everything was as stated in the description. The property manager, Katherine, is so friendly and answered questions very promptly. My friends and I had a very nice stay at the property, it is in a nice private setting and the grounds and home are relaxing. There were many things to do and they were all close. Didn’t want to leave

Super cute cottage. Sits off the main road. Beautiful views of tall trees and green open areas around home. Take time to swing on the porch swing. So relaxing. The windows in den provide an open view of nature. The flowers in the yard were beautiful. Take a drive around the corner and you will find self serve fresh vegetable stands. There are also fresh eggs and beautiful cut flowers you can buy. Visit the Windmill market on Saturday’s to find all sorts of fresh fruit and vegetables. There are Plenty of fresh baked bread and other goodies. The beds are comfortable, don’t shut the room darkening shades because you won’t want to get up. The brown room has the morning sun. Kitchen is stocked well with all the supplies you to need to cook or bake. Spices as well. A nice snack tray to enjoy as well. Couch is comfy as I covered under a blanket on 53 degree morning with rain. Katherine was quick to respond with any questions I had. Make time because I ran out of time to have a fire in the cozy fire pit. The shed has dry wood and nice chairs to use. There is a gas grill and charcoal grill as well. 9 days wasn’t enough time to enjoy all the cottage had to offer. I would stay here again and make time for the swing. It’s a quick drive to the many towns in the area. The scenery is gorgeous and the roads are great. My siblings and I had a great time. This area of upstate NY is heaven. Your soul will be cleansed and your heart will be the happiest. It’s a magical part of our country.

Perfect cottage

Our family loved this cozy place! It’s an adorable and well organized house with everything one could need. Highlights for us included the big beautiful yard, the porch swing, and how thoughtfully everything was set up inside. Owner was super easy to communicate with as well!

Delightful Stay!

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days here. Quiet and secluded, yet within a 30 minute drive to all parks and areas we explored. The house was immaculate, lovely decor, well stocked kitchen with appliances and utensils, comfortable beds and plenty of closet and dresser space. In particular, we enjoyed the wrap around porch for morning coffee and late afternoon cocktails. Although it did not apply to us, Katherine paid great detail to making this a kid friendly atmosphere for any family. Plenty of kids movies, games, as well as a playground. Thank you Katherine for a lovely stay!

Peaceful and comfortable

Our stay was a very relaxing 5 days, a home away from home while we were participating in a large family reunion located at a different VRBO on the lake. Clean and well appointed inside, well kempt on the outside. Large comfortable beds, roomy shower with a high shower head (very nice) and a big kitchen. The house was tucked into a bit of forest with nice walking paths. We saw deer walking by in the mornings and rabbits hopping around. If we do the reunion thing again, we will return to this house.

A Great Place For The Whole Family

We loved our stay at Katherine’s home. The property is large, quiet, private, and beautiful. We stayed with our 3 children and there was so much for them to do. From the swings and outdoor kitchen outside to the toys and wholesome movies inside, there wasn’t a moment they weren’t smiling. For the adults, the house is clean, organized, and extremely comfortable. Trust me when I say that Katherine thought of everything a family could need. The location is perfect for easy access to anything between Seneca and Keuka Lakes. We’re excited for the next time we can stay here.
