Classsic cozy mountain Cabin with dock right on Lake Blue Ridge

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil year-round getaway. Enjoy summer lake activities and dinners on the screened porch, take in the colors and beauty of the wilderness in the nearby National Forest in spring and fall, or cozy up with a book or games for a winter escape just 1.5 hours from Atlanta. The Aska trails are just up the road making hiking and mountain biking easily accessible any time of the year. Downtown Blue Ridge is loaded with shops and great food just a 20 min. drive away.
This sweet cottage feels like On Golden Pond; rustic meets midcentury modern interiors with a serene view of Lake Blue Ridge and US National Forrest land at any hour of the day. Kayaks, SUPs, life jackets, and floats are provided for lake time in the summer. Go for a sunrise paddle and hope to see the eagles out fishing for breakfast (or fish yourself- license required), spend the day picnicing and swimming on the large dock just down a few steps from the house, and enjoy night stargazing from the top deck of the dock. If looking to explore the area more the orchards and wineries of Ellijay and Blue Ridge are a 30-40 minute drive as is Springer Mountain and the Benton MacKaye Trail (start of the Appilachian Trail). The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking dinner at home (Weber gas grill also available) including large fridge, gas oven/stove, blender, and dish washer. If going out sounds better there are many dining options including the Toccoa River Restaurant just a 10 minute drive or 20 minutes to a wide variety of options from great pizza and bar food to fine dining in downtown Blue Ridge (we’re always happy to make specific recs).
It should be noted the road is mainly paved, but the driveway is gravel and around 100 yards +/- downhill (not too steep) While any car can make it all wheel drive would make it easier.

Great stay close to Blue Ridge

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lakefront property. It’s a quick drive from the quaint town of Blue Ridge that boasts many great restaurants and shops. It’s also minutes from the Long Branch Loop Trail, an easy hike to start off your day.

Great Lake spot!

This cabin is great for a weekend on the lake! Perfect double decker dock for lots of outdoor fun in sun or shade (both options here!). Comfy beds and great AC!

Very comfortable property. Great location on the lake. Great dock with plenty of seating, kayaks and paddle boards was a plus. Daikin ac in each room allowed for very comfortable temperature control. Furnishings were interesting and thoughtful. Well done.

Long weekend on Lake Blue Ridge

This place is wonderful! This past summer we stayed at another Vrbo rental that let us know just how great this place is. They have everything you need (even had a bread knife!), the place is always very clean, full kitchen, kayaks, I could go on and on. The hosts are very helpful and easy to reach. Another great experience!

Awesome cabin that was well described in the description. Our family loved swimming/jumping from the dock. We had a great time on the lily pad and SUP’s. Kayaks were available but we didn’t use them. The cabin was well stocked and had games and other things to entertain us. Having meals on the porch overlooking the river was very peaceful. It was a great vacation, if fact before we left, our 14y/o daughter asked if we can get the same cabin, next year.

Week of Mountain Magic

I am originally from New Hampshire and this cozy cabin checked all the boxes for a mountain getaway from Florida. It gives all the “On Golden Pond” vibes. The house has everything you need to enjoy the lake and is a short drive to local hikes and the Blue Ridge shopping area. My husband was able to work from the dock and my father enjoyed the privacy of the basement room. The AC works great and the screened in porch was perfect for family dinners and relaxing while watching the fireflies at night. We can’t wait to book our next visit!

Perfect property!

We have stayed at many lake rentals over the years, this house was the cleanest, most well kept of them all. Jennifer has thought of everything, from a cooler to take to the dock, to beach towels for the lake. The dock was amazing, the kids love the double decker and the covered part below was massive with a table and multiple seating areas. SUPs and kayaks, life vests and a floating mat were all provided. Even with a bit of rain, we were able to relax in the screened in porch with lovely lake views.Highly recommend this property.

Beyond perfect!

There is nothing better than leaving the big city and surrounding yourself with trees, mountains, and water. This cabin is perfect! It was comfortable, clean, and well appointed (loved the mid-century cabin vibe). While the cabin had all the modern comforts- the dock is the place I wanted to be. Because it was covered (with great fans) there was constant shade and a cool breeze. We loved the kayaks, paddle boards, and giant float pad that were available. The only negative thing was that I had to leave. I am already planning my trip next year and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for an amazing lake front get away.

The perfect Lake Blueridge Getaway with Vintage Vibes

This cozy yet spacious cabin was the perfect weekend getaway. It’s tucked in a quiet cove of Lake Blueridge, great for kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, and relaxing on the dock. The nearby Aska trail system is a short 1 mile walk or drive away, and there is a great 2 mile loop trail for a quick hike, plus more trails and waterfalls to explore. The cabin has 3 nice bedrooms and a spacious ground floor room with a big sectional and TV for relaxing. The main floor has beautiful views of the lake and a screen porch with seating and a table to eat outside with views of the lake. The hosts Jen and Susan are responsive and ensure the cabin is well stocked with all the amenities, water sports equipment and firewood for the fireplace. It would be perfect for a family gathering during the summer, and we definitely plan to come again!

Awesome lakeside cabin

This is our second time at this beautiful home, and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more! This property is located in a choice area; if you love mountain biking and hiking as my family does, the Aska Road trails are less than a mile away. My family loves to fish and this property if right on Lake Blue Ridge. While the location is the main reason for choosing this cabin, the property and the managers make sure that you have everything you need for a fun and fulfilling stay. Everything you might need; live jackets, towels, any type of cooking utensils, the gas grill, soaps, towels, fans, this cabin has everything. The decor appeals to my personal style; a log cabin but furnished with mid-century modern furniture. The beds are very comfortable, always clean, and we always have an enjoyable experience.
