2 families (4 adults; 4 teens) changed from beach to this rental due to COVID in Aug 2020. Everyone was disappointed about no beach this year, and had low expectations. But, we had an GREAT visit to the Laurel Highlands that felt very COVID safe. We did all the summer adventure activities at the resort; took a private white water rafting trip at Ohiopyle; hiked the Laurel Highlands Trail; biked the GAP trail; and visited the Flight 93 Memorial. The kids are runners, and the 1/2 mile loop around Lake Tahoe made a perfect "track" for their runs every morning while the parents walked. The proximity to amazing hikes and bike rides and outdoor dining (we LOVED the restaurant in Confluence right off the GAP trail...). The house had plenty of space (the boys loved their basement man-cave) and plenty of sheets/towels/blankets/dishes, etc. Owner was super-responsive to all inquiries, and when I called the housekeeper with a question the last day and she was great too! NO REGRETS. My only feedback is that the unit is a bit dated - we are not picky, so it was no problem for us and explains the great value - but know going into it that it could use a fresh coat of paint and some minor, cosmetic repairs. I would also suggest not advertising it as having "Air Conditioner," but rather say there is a window unit on the main floor. ALL rooms got stuffy at night (especially the one without an external window) until we went and bought box fans. The air cools nicely at night in the mountains, but I thought we would have central air. Also, we cooked a lot - one additional skillet would be helpful, and some brochures/info on the resort and other local activities are always a favorite of mine when I rent a place. We were unclear that we ARE part of 7 Springs and almost didn't get the discount for adventure activities (probably my stupidity...). Finally, fees for "extra" guests should be prominently stated in the price (Owner was great at working with us on this though, and it was no problem...). All of that said, we had a GREAT VACATION and would do it again in a heartbeat (with fans, of course...).
