Locust Lakes Village offers year-round activities at the community chalet. Swim or fish for bass (catch and release) in one of the three lakes, or enjoy kayaking and paddleboarding. We provide beach chairs, blankets, an umbrella, lake floats, a cooler, and beach toys—so you don’t need to bring your own. The property is just a short walk from one of the lakes. Tennis courts, hiking, and biking trails are also available, and we supply 4 bicycles for your use. In the winter, there’s a private ski and sledding hill for the kids.

While the fire pit is one of the key highlights of this property, it’s crucial to follow all burn ban regulations strictly. Failure to do so may result in fines from the community, which guests will be responsible for. We will keep you informed in real time should any such announcements occur during your stay.
✔For VRBO or direct bookings, please note that even if a cancellation qualifies under the cancellation policy, the 10% payment processing fee is non-refundable. This is due to the fact that we use external payment processors like Stripe, which do not refund processing fees.

-Dirt bikes are strictly prohibited.
-Please note that we provide a limited amount of starter supplies for your convenience, such as toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, and other basic necessities. For additional supplies, guests are encouraged to either purchase from nearby stores or bring extra items with them to ensure a comfortable stay. We recommend stocking up on any items you may need during your stay, as we do not provide regular restocking of these supplies.
-Late check-out and early check-in may be available for a small fee, depending on availability.
-All guests must register with the community 72 hours prior to arrival. The community charges an additional $5 per car which the guest will have to pay.
-Speed Limit in the Village is 25 MPH – 10MPH by Lakes and Amenity areas. Residents and visitors are encouraged to drive slowly and carefully within the community.
-Please be aware that during a burn ban, no open flames are permitted, including propane fire pits and tables. We appreciate your help in keeping the community safe by following this restriction.
-Wristbands: Each booking will receive 8 complimentary amenities wristbands. Eight wristbands will be provided for the designated guests, located on the center table where the binders are situated.. These must be worn to access amenities such as the lake, ski/sledding hill, fishing, and sports courts. Wristbands must remain at the property, and any lost wristband will incur a $25 replacement fee. Note that water activities, including boat rentals are seasonal.
-This property is located in a community that requires guest and vehicle registration for entry and access to amenities. Guests aged 12 and older must be registered. The booking covers 6 adults, and any additional guests aged 12 or older will need to pay a per-person registration fee. There is a rental fee of $35 for all renters in the community. While we will not ask for your ID, please be aware that community staff or security at the gates or welcome center may request IDs for validation purposes upon arrival.
-Undisclosed or unapproved pets will incur a charge of $250 to $500, per night.
-Please be aware that as the booking party, you are responsible for reimbursing any fines or fees incurred during your stay. In the event that a fine is issued, we will handle the payment and request reimbursement from you after your stay is completed.
✔IMPORTANT ANIMAL LIABILITY INDEMNIFICATION
The Property Management Company (“Manager”) does not own, keep, or control any animals permitted on the premises and shall not be held liable for any injury, damage, or loss caused by any animal belonging to a guest, occupant, or invitee. Guests may bring pets onto the property only if permitted in writing by Manager or the Property Owner and only under the condition that the guest assumes full responsibility and liability for the behavior, supervision, and control of such animals.
The guest agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Property Owner and Manager, and their respective officers, employees, and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from:
-Any injury or damage caused by an animal kept or brought onto the property;
-Any failure to comply with local animal control or leash laws; or
-Any violation of the property’s pet policy or house rules.
Manager is not required to inspect, control, or monitor the presence or behavior of any animal on the premises. If Manager becomes aware of an aggressive or dangerous animal, Manager may immediately remove or require removal of the animal and/or terminate the guest’s occupancy without refund.
Guests are encouraged to carry personal liability coverage through their homeowner’s, renter’s, or travel insurance policies for potential animal-related incidents.
This clause shall survive the termination of any rental agreement or guest occupancy.
