Glad your stay was great despite the wait on the golf carts. I know our staff gets crazy busy once 4PM hits, especially on the weekends with trying to get over 100 golf carts to each unit. Regarding linens, we do require guests to either bring their own or rent them through us for two important reasons. First, Put-in-Bay has a very small water treatment facility, and it cannot support the high volume of laundering needed during the busy tourism season. To help preserve our limited water resources and ensure reliable water pressure for the island community, we send all linens to the mainland for professional laundering. Second, for sanitation and guest safety, all rented linens are individually bagged. This is why guests make their own beds—we want to ensure your linens are fresh, clean, and untouched. We also kindly ask that guests only open and use what they need and leave any unused linens in their original packaging. As for the back deck door, each unit is equipped with a safety stick/lock designed to be placed at the bottom of the door to keep it securely shut. If that piece was missing during your stay, we would have been happy to bring one over immediately—just give us a quick call and our staff will respond right away. Regarding the linens and towels, we understand the confusion. Sometimes our cleaning staff either accidentally puts out all the linens when they don't have too, or if they are feeling nice, they give guests who didn't get linens, linens for free. As for the condition of the cabin, the issues you mentioned—such as the grill, light switches, and overall upkeep—have been reported to our on-island management team, and they are actively working on them now. We genuinely wish you had reached out during your stay, as we would have done everything possible to relocate you to a more suitable cabin and improve your experience on the spot. We appreciate your honesty and will use your feedback to make improvements. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future.

Thanks for the feedback Caitlin! We're sorry all of that happened. We couldn't control the power going out because someone ran into a Pole on Put-In-Bay Road, which caused a power outage for all of our units for about 3 hours. We wish you would have called about the microwave though, and we I will definitely let the Island Manager know along with adding a mirror in the bathroom. As far as our employees, they come from overseas to help us clean our houses, and most of them do not speak English. However, our main staff all speaks English and just by giving us a call, we could have sent someone over to you right away! We are still happy to hear that your trip was fun though!
