When it's time to unwind, our vacation rental is your perfect retreat, offering a charming flagstone patio and a warm, inviting open living space. Gather by the crackling wood-burning stove and savor a tranquil evening.

Southern Utah is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. Our home is your gateway to some of the most spectacular national parks, including Zion, Bryce Canyon. Explore the red rock canyons, hike scenic trails, and experience natural beauty.

This historic home is heated with a wood burning stove, baseboard heaters, and space heaters in each bedroom. In the summer months, the home is cooled with an evaporate swamp cooler. Instructions for heating and cooling the home are provided in the house manual under the "info for guests" tab of the listing. Please ensure that you are comfortable using these prior to booking. Thank you!

During the duration of their stay, all Kanab Cottages guests enjoy a 10% discount at Peekaboo Canyon Wood Fired Kitchen, located at 233 West Center Street, Kanab. Just let your server know you’re our guest!

There is not a dishwasher in the home but there is a dish drying rack provided.

Housekeeping and maintenance staff are available from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. As much as possible, please try to make requests during this time.
Smoking is NOT allowed inside or within 25 feet of the home. A $500 extra cleaning fee will apply for smoking in the home.
Please do not use our bath linens to clean shoes, pets, or other surfaces. The red dirt is really difficult to get out

Cozy chalet-style home right in Kanab

Excellent location and a cozy vibe. Nice jumping off point for our family of four to explore Bryce, Zion, Antelope Canyon and more. Walking distance to all the restaurants in town. Showers have good pressure! Nice collection of games and nice outdoor space. House has some quirks (limited privacy) and no dishwasher (noted in the description but listed as an amenity) but was an awesome home base for our week in April.

Mostly comfy

Overall property was fine, but needs a deep clean (dead bugs along windowsills and floor boards) and better lighting. The house was incredibly dark which made it a hard place to settle into, both day and night.

Great cabin with hot tub

If you’re looking for a nice cabin feel with a hot tub in a charming town this place checks all the boxes. Unfortunately there currently is major construction in the next lot, but the town is nice and walkable. Hot tub was a little harsh on the skin but I’d take that over the opposite. We loved the wood stove. Lots of room in the cabin for several guests if you have a group. Host needs to work out some details with the check-in platform as I had to call for the code but the host was available on a dime and was very eager to help. Watch out for goat head thorns and deer droppings in the yard if you have pets. Overall I’m giving a 5 star review as we had a great, comfortable stay despite some minor inconveniences.

Cute cottage

The cottage was really cute and the location was close to restaurants and stores, The place had a swamp cooler and it did not cool the place. We were extremely miserable the whole time we were there. Had fans going in every room. Would not recommend staying there in the summer. We were there in the middle of June would hate to see what July or August would be like. Water pressure in bathroom was very low had to fill toilet tank with water to get it to flush properly.

Nice place

Very clean. There is 1 bedroom on main floor, 2 in the basement, and 1 loft bedroom. Would highly recommend as long as stairs are not a problem. Host was awesome and very quick to answer questions. Huge back yard with outdoor fire pit. Great for roasting marshmallows! Outdoor jacuzzi which was awesome. I couldn’t figure out how to turn it on so I contacted the host and he was there in 5 minutes to show me how. There is 1 bedroom in basement which doesn’t have door it is open to the stairs but it really wasn’t an issue for us. We really enjoyed our stay and Kanab is a beautiful place. I highly recommend it.

Not good in hot weather

The listing said there was air conditioning, but only has a swamp cooler. The unit was dry when we arrived so had to get service. They responded pretty quick to but even tho got working it didn’t cool down completely. Was better in morning but couldn’t keep up with temps in mid 90’s and was warm again in late afternoon/evening. They rebated part of one night but both were too hot for comfort. Other than that it needed better lighting- dark inside.
