We enjoyed our stay, there was plenty of room for parking as well as a nicely stocked kitchen. Everything was clean upon check in.

Thanks for your review. Yes all of our guests love that we have plenty of parking for everyone's cars and boats just 1 mile down the road from the Lake Jocassee boat ramps. Our kitchen offers much more than you typical vacation rental allowing our guests to prepare meals as if they were at home. Hope you will come back again sometime.

Loved the location, it is so close to the lake, we had ample parking for our boat and trailer and our van with jet skis! Will definitely go again!

Staying at Maplecrest was a wonderful experience. It was clean and spacious. The host John was wonderful and so helpful with suggestions as it was our first time at Lake Jocassee. Highly recommend staying there. We will absolutely be back again.

All rooms were clean and the house was very close to the lake which made it so easy to get to the park. The fenced in front yard was very nice for my pup to have some freedom to roam outside while we were there.

We are the only Pet Friendly Vacation home in the area that has a huge fenced enclosure to let your pet free range on the lawn. Our formal row of maple trees bounding the yard afford a cool respite for your pet and from the pic you posted you too ! Great location for visiting Lake Jocassee! Must bring your own toiletries such as shampoo and body wash since that is not supplied. Couch and floors could be cleaner, thus the 4 star review.

In addition we have 5 primary exits on 2 levels that offer immediate egress to outside in the unlikely event of an emergency. It truly was a wonderful experience. Plenty of room and the kitchen was very well stocked. The front porch and back screened porch were my favorite places to sit. Very peaceful and beautiful. Host did a great job with communication and making our family feel welcomed. Definitely will be back.

The most communicative host I’ve ever experienced! He was so thoughtful to call prior to my arrival to make sure I knew the best routes to take and offer up suggestions. Everything was easy- from finding the house to accessing the lake-only a 3 minute drive to the boat ramp! The house is well equipped with most anything you might need. Yes, it is an older house with some quirks. But it’s cozy, convenient and perfect for what we needed. Plenty of yard to play ball and run around. John was a great host! It was obvious how much he and his family have enjoyed this house over the years. It’s a great place to build memories! We enjoyed our short time there and look forward to returning.

Jocassee is a very special place and is one of only two temperate rain forests in the continental USA. There are more waterfalls concentrated in our locale then anywhere else east of the Mississippi. Our vacation home is always there to welcome you back to enjoy the Jocassee Experience anytime.

Wonderful stay! Plenty of room for 3 couples! Very close to Devils Fork State Park which was perfect for our all day guided boat tour of the lake!

Make sure to bring any food/groceries with you! The closest thing felt hours away (obviously it wasn't but on vacation it felt that way). However, that was the beauty of it. Surrounded by nature not people! Renting a boat and jet skis were effortles. And the best part, it's a very short drive to park. Definitely not walking distance. Very clean and comfy. If I could say the only negatives were spiders covered the porches and walkways. A little curbside update might be nice to align with the photos but the overall function was good.

Great stay near the park

Had a great stay with the pups close to the state park and surrounding hikes and ORV roads. House was clean and well supplied kitchen for cooking and basic cleaning supplies. Nice private and quiet setting.

Our mountain home offers close by easy access to Lake Jocassee, the most pristine fresh water mountain lake in the southeast. This unique wilderness lake is a protected watershed as part of the Jocassee Gorges Conservation Area. Visitors can swim and picnic at the lakeside state park recreation area nearby, launch or rent their own boat for daily lake adventures even take guided waterfall tours or fishing charters. There are dozens of area waterfall hiking trails just minutes away from our perfect location. This is truly natures paradise at your doorstep.

Our home Maplecrest at Lake Jocassee is a picture postcard home in a very secluded and private 2 acre woodlands setting. Previously owned by a stained glass artist, there are many original works on display throughout the home. Sleeping accommodations are 2 guests per each private bedroom. For guests safety, we have smoke detectors in each bedroom and a monitored dispatch security system as well as multiple (5) exterior door exits. WIFI is available throughout the home. There are 4 Satellite TV's / (2) are 43 inch 4k LED sets / so everyone can pick their favorite shows. We also have a BLU RAY player and DVD Library with Surround Sound in the Family Room. Our kitchen has all the accoutrements / pots / pans / dishware necessary for gourmet food preparation along with our gas BBQ grill on the sundeck overlooking our large activity field and rose bed lighted rock garden. Our dining room has a huge Farmers Gathering Table that will seat all 8 guests at one time. Our new contemporary Euro Style 2nd bathroom with stained glass privacy window in the shower is a dazzler. Because we are located just past the busy State Park Recreation Area and Visitors Center. Maplecrest offers both daytime serenity and quiet evenings on the large screen porch and deep ravines with roaming occasional deer and fireflies blinking in the twilight to complete your getaway woodlands experience.
