The Jocassee Tiny House

The Jocassee Tiny House is nestled on 13 acres of land near beautiful Lake Jocassee. On the property, you will find a little creek and an orchard of very young fruit trees (apples, pears, and peaches). Additionally, you might find blueberries, blackberries, and muscadines. Enjoy your coffee on the porch with the first sunbeams of the day. There’s a fire pit for bbq and s’mores. On a clear night, you can't beat the view of the stars in the night sky. You may even catch a glimpse of wildlife.
There is a wildlife camera on the property when entering the driveway and a security camera on the front porch overlooking the patio and/or front porch. If you feel uncomfortable with the security camera you're welcome to unplug it, but you need to plug it back in before leaving the property.

Really chill and quiet home. Inside and outside spaces were both great. The house was clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable. Awesome outdoor space for star-gazing and fireside sitting. The location to Lake Jocassee is excellent. The whole area is just amazing. We had a half day boat rental on Lake Jocassee and it’s stunning! Several 3-4 mile hikes and so many waterfalls to choose from. Picked up supplies at Ingles, dinners out a Habanero’s Mexican Grill and Crave Kitchen. Yum! Book this house and have great weekend!

An absolute gem of a spot! This was our first time visiting Lake Jocassee and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay to enjoy it all! This tiny house may be small but it’s HUGE in terms of comfort, convenience, amenities and location. We were grateful to find the home sparkling clean, with comfy beds and a full size bathroom ( super hot water and great water pressure-great after a day of hiking to see the SPECTACULAR Whitewater Falls!) We had plenty of space to unwind , with room to cook and just chillax. The house sits on the edge of a beautiful property-feels very private but also super close to the lake and entrance of Devil’s Fork Park. It rained quite a bit so we didn’t make use of the fire pit, but it’s lovely. Was just us two, but the layout with additional loft beds and bunks-makes it perfect for a small family or a couples weekend away. Tobias was great-friendly and responsive. Don’t hesitate to book this perfect place in the middle of a gorgeous Lake Jocassee!

As many other reviews state, this is a clean, accurately described and charming rental. Our host was very responsive. They leave clear checkout instructions on the wall. The swimming spot is everything we hoped it would be and we spent many hours there. Lake Jocassee is serene and an awesome place to swim. Side excursions included: a boat tour with Southern Outlaw, on another day saw Upper White Falls, hiked Rainbow Falls (strenuous but worth it). The Gorges visitor center is nice. On a rainy day, we were able to see and walk the Stumphouse tunnel and see a Issaqueena falls in the nearby parking area. We then checked out Seneca and a putt putt at Oasis. It’s so covered with botanical plants that we didn’t get very wet! Made a stop at Mellow Mushroom which is a short drive to Clemson from there. We circled back around on the way home to drive by some of Keowee lake. Just adding all of that because we feel this rental is a perfect distance from everything we did. We went grocery shopping before and only ate out twice. The kitchen is very capable! Plenty of dishes, pans etc. Thanks for sharing the tiny house!!

Hello, my name is Tobias Martin. I'm married to my beautiful wife Jen and together we have two awesome daughters (Emma and Claire). We enjoy the outdoors, whether it's hiking, biking, boating, or any kind of outdoor activity. We like to travel and meet new people and learn about their cultures. Everyone is welcome at our Tiny House and we hope you enjoy, respect, and love it as we do.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

Growing up in Germany I always had the dream to own some land in the USA and after meeting my beautiful wife Jen on Lake Jocassee the goal was set. After a long 2-year journey of negotiations, the previous owner of our 13 acres property finally sold it to us in Jan. of 2020. It was all overgrown and barely accessible. It took a lot of hard work over the last 2 years to get it where it is today. We planted 50 fruit trees (apple, peach, and pear), cleared 5-6 acres, drilled a well, and poured about 60 yards of concrete for the foundation, the patio, and the driveway to make it accessible for all vehicles. It's still a work in progress but we enjoy being out there and just leave the hectics of the city behind us. Follow the little path to the lake, explore the creek along the property or just relax in the hammocks underneath pine trees next to the patio. Listen to the whippoorwill bird in the evening or lay on your back and just watch the night sky with its million stars. If you get lucky and get up early you may see some deer walking through the orchard or some black bears looking for some snacks. Explore the area and take your time to just rest.

We are located 3/4mile behind Devils Fork State Park which lets you use the boat ramps through the back entrance of the park, which means almost guaranteed access to the lake at all times, granted the parking lot has one last spot for you to park and you have the State Park Pass.
