A private & quiet home on the Chippewa River in the heart of downtown Mt. Pleasant. Enjoy the peace of the river in your backyard. Walk to nearby restaurants, and coffee shops or take a 2-minute drive to the CMU Campus. The Water Park and Casino are just up the street. This home is centrally located with a 'retreat-like' atmosphere.

Inside the home, enjoy the incredibly soft linens and bedding, the reverse osmosis drinking water attached to the kitchen sink, and a 65" smart TV where you can log in to your favorite streaming service. The house comes fully stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, and silverware you would need to prepare any meal. There is a kettle for brewing tea and a duo Keurig that brews both ground coffee and an individual cup with a pod.

The home comes with everything you need for your getaway, and it's the perfect, private location to be right in Mt. Pleasant, but feel like you are tucked away at a retreat.

Adorable house, excellent location

The property is so clean and cozy and perfectly located for walking to town and the park. Very close to Soaring Eagle water park and Casino. Great location, adorable home and excellent communication with owners!

We had an amazing stay at the Blue River retreat.. it truly felt like a home away from home! The space was bright, well decorated, and cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and with good quality, dinnerware, and a keurig pod coffee maker, and creamers to go with it as it added a touch. The beds were incredibly comfortable and felt well rested each morning. Evenings were relaxing, watching TV on the comfy sofa. We very much appreciated having a washer and dryer on our six night stay. . Island park is about two blocks from the house and each morning we would go for a walk in the beautiful park to start our day. It is a perfect secluded spot with nice relaxing lawn chairs with a fire pit for evenings to relax. Will definitely be staying here again.!

exactly what we needed

This property is pretty much exactly what the listing advertises. There are 3 bedrooms with 4 beds (two queen? and a set of bunkbeds) - perfect for a stereotypical family of 2 parent and 3 kids, or 2 sets of parents/grandparents and 2 kids, etc. We did not use the kitchen (except for the coffee maker - pods were provided!) but it did seem like there was adequate pots/pans. The house is "compact" but not small, there was plenty of hot water for the four of us to have showers in the morning, and enough seating that we were all comfortable watching a movie in the living room. Everything was clean and tidy, checkin was easy. Location is, again, exactly as described - within a few minutes drive of the University (Central Michigan) and the downtown areas. The house itself is on a quiet street with well-spaced neighbours - again, families with smaller children will appreciate the safety and yard space. Hosts were attentive without being intrusive (we ended up meeting them at the same University event we were attending).

Great house for CMU families

We stayed here 2 weekends for CMU gymnastics events. It was a great find for our family with small children. Cute and cozy. It had what we needed and more. Close to the park, downtown and CMU. Holly and her husband were very responsive and gracious. I’ve already recommended the house to other families and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect girls weekend

This was my second time here and I plan on coming back again! This is the spot! Close to soaring eagle casinowhich is what we go for. Plenty of food and convenience stores very close by.

Peaceful, Cozy Retreat Perfect for Family Gatherings

This home was absolutely perfect for our group of six adults and one child. The space was cozy yet spacious enough for all of us to gather, relax, and enjoy quality family time. The house itself is impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was enjoying coffee each morning with a serene view of the river and watching deer pass through the yard both in the mornings and evenings—such a peaceful and memorable experience. Cozy little house close to everything

Everything about the listing was accurate. We were very pleased with the location to everything within 10 mins that we needed to get to. A lot of extras that were so appreciated! Basket of snacks, coffee and sweetener choices. It was noticed and appreciated. Holly also had a book with details on how to use things such as the thermostat.

Girls Weekend

The house was very nice and clean and Holly was very responsive. The house was decorated beautifully and there was even a welcome basket. The property was very clise to everything in town, but was still located in an area that gave you privacy. I would definitely book here again!

This river property rocks!

The house location could not be any better being within 10 minutes of all there is to experience in Mount Pleasant. Great backyard for those chilly late night fires. Comfortably slept 8 20+ year olds with only needing to bring 1 air mattress. House is great with all you need, only downside to this great experience is just how small the bathroom is. Everything else fantastic!

Quiet little house at the dead end of a street. The house was very small, especially the bathroom so if youre big and/or tall, maybe go somewhere else haha but it was very clean. The beds were super comfy. It was in a good location to get to whatever youre in town for. I didnt utilize the patio area but if I wasnt in town for work and had things to do, it would have been super nice to sit out there by the river and relax.

Best Friends getaway

Perfectly located towards the end/ back of a neighborhood. Very quiet area with a cozy feel! Location was very close to the event that brought us into town and the beds are so comfy!!

Perfect!

The house was perfect for our girls weekend! It is so nicely decorated and has all things you would need! The host even left a cute little welcome basket with goodies! The beds are comfortable too. The casino is a quick 10 minute drive, and we recommend Pisanello’s pizza for delivery! Yum! We for sure would book here again!

Great Place

Online listing was very accurate, house was very clean. We stayed in winter and had other plans, so weren't able to explore the park, outdoor seating areas, or the downtown; but would have loved to have had time to do those things. They looked very inviting. Would definitely stay again!
