Sandy Haven: A Luxe Retreat Near Downtown Raleigh

Enter through the private door to relax on a plush queen bed. Equipped with a kitchenette, serene private bath, and walk-in closet. Guests have access to the pools, gym, VR/games room, and a theatre. Sports enthusiasts will love tennis, volleyball, soccer and pickleball courts. Alternatively, downtown is only 10-min away, and the RDU airport is a 30-min drive. There is a small garden you will pass by on your way to the private entrance. Feel free to check it out but please leave the plants alone. Gardeners will come by for regular maintenance but will stick to only the garden area only. Your privacy is important! Hosts are happy to give recommendations or answer any questions. Downtown is only 10-minutes away. Coastal Credit Union park is a short drive away and always has events going on. For shopping, White Oak shopping center has it all! You’ll find top restaurants, Target, clothing boutiques and more. Our go-to restaurant is Alpaca, a Peruvian cuisine. Welcome!

Getting around:

Parking in the area is free with many parking lots or marked street parking. There are lots of walking trails and bike lanes. Traveling farther will require a car, or to call an Uber or Lyft.

The room was clean. The bed was perfect and soft. I thought I had access to the kitchen, but I didn’t. They had a very small kitchenette area with a college style refrigerator and after they went on the third floor, it was better because no noise.

Good for an overnight

Small, clean, very good for what was needed. Attached to main house - very minimal noise from residents. Lovely gardens. After heavy rains, owner took precautions to minimize puddles in pass through.

Cute place to stay

The VRBO is a lockout at the back of a townhouse which allows for a private entrance. Very neat and well maintained. Our only issue was the temperature (70 degrees and we were roasting but it could not be changed. Would definitely stay here again.

Carolina beautiful!

Having lived and worked in the region decades ago we were excited to return. Sandy Haven was perfect for our needs. It was close to every place we wanted to revisit: Raleigh, Garner and Cary. Our host, K, gave perfect directions to a lovely and clean property. We would definitely stay here in the future!

Superb

Very clean in a nice quiet neighborhood. Private entrance with complete privacy. The communication with the owner was quick, very helpful and supportive. Highly recommend, and hope to find it available the next time I’m in the area.

Exactly what I was looking for

This property is in a brand new development. It was the perfect size for a quick stay. It was spotless and the host was very quick to respond to my questions. I definitely recommend it. I did not use any of the extra amenities but that was just because I did not have the time.

We appreciated your ability to adjust our schedule. Bed very comfortable and bathroom nice. Would suggest bed be moved out from wall. I had to “climb” out bottom to use restroom during night. Also need a lamp and coffee maker/ coffee

It was a struggle getting into the room; I don't recall getting an e-mail on the code for the door entrance. Everything was fine after that. I got to look at several great programs on the tv.

It was The perfect little spot and I would definitely book it again. Only thing I would suggest is a blackout curtain and blackout blinds for the door because the moment the neighbor across the street turns their light on it literally lights up the room.. Other than that, the owner was nice and sweet very responsive. We talking within minutes I never had to wait to get an answer for anything definitely recommend.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

It's all in the amenities. Indoor and outdoor pool, tennis court, dog park, pickleball courts (yes plural) and way more. We enjoy being close to home but also having activities in our area, so we never have to drive (or walk) very far. It is surprisingly quiet, yet most everyone here also lives an active lifestyle. But for those that love to relax, the theatre, VR room and arcade are hot spots. Literally there is something for everyone.

While being in the center of the neighborhood, everything is at your fingertips. There's the club house, but 15 minutes away is downtown, 5 minutes away is Coastal Credit Union Park, 25 minutes away PNC arena.... list goes on. What always is great, is coming back to a quiet private space with a comfy bed. There's a full-size fridge for longer stays, lots of storage, walk-in closet, and attached full-size bath.
