Charming cottage with shared beachfront on Grand Traverse Bay near Northport.

Prime summer requires a 3-night minimum.

Enjoy this cozy cottage with access to 400' shared frontage on West Grand Traverse Bay. The cottage has two quaint bedrooms, one bathroom, with wood floors and an enclosed porch. The enclosed porch is a perfect area to dine or simply relax. Outside there is a picnic table and charcoal grill for dining outdoors. Enjoy the spacious grounds and shared beach area. Water access is just across the yard. (You do not have to cross a road.)

This is a wonderful central location for exploring all the best of Leelanau. Lots of fun is available in Northport during the summer, including the Northport Wine & Craft Beer Festival, Leelanau UnCaged, the Northport Dog Parade, and fireworks on the Fourth of July. Northport is only 4 miles from the cottage.

One dog is allowed. We ask that you please clean up after your pet.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage is well-kept and in a great location for visiting various venues on the peninsula. It was clean and included all that we needed. However, the window in the small bedroom with the bunk beds was broken, and the chest in the main room had blankets in each drawer, which made it impossible to put any clothing away. So, those staying in that room had to live out of their suitcases.

We had an excellent stay. The beachfront area is super private and provided great a shallow entrance with calm waters for the kid. Little one also loved the rock painting, games, and monkey bars next to the cottage. Easy check-in and check-out, good internet, and well-located relative to Omena and Northport. I do not understand the complaints about lack of A/C - this was clearly stated in the description, and it simply doesn't get that hot in northern MI.

Bunk beds were a tad short for adult men, haha, so they slept on the pull-out sofabed. Great location, almost no bugs, easy access to the beach, and the water was actually warm! We - and the dog - had a terrific week!

My 2 year old son ended up very sick and admitted to ICU overnight the day we were supposed to go and we were unable to go to the cottage. I tried reaching out to ask if there wasn’t anything that could be done even a cleaning fee reimbursement or credit since we weren’t there at all I have ICU paperwork I could send but they did not even respond to say sorry we can’t do anything at the least. It’s very disappointing.

Northport getawwy

Spur of the moment decision to vacay UP NORTH. Found this little dream cottage was open on our dates. Very clean and pleasantly decorated cottage with a beautiful screened in front porch. Close to many things we wanted to do and lovely little beach . Not so fond of the internet outage, but good communication with maintenance. Will be renting again if available.

If you’re looking for a great place to stay that makes traveling easy. This would be a place to stay. The property was very clean and maintained and easy to access. Having the enclosed porch was fantastic for having morning coffee while the sun is coming up across the bay. The size is perfect for 2 adults. Many more than this, and it may get a bit cramped. The closest full-size grocery is in Northport, and there's a small country store in Omena Bay. Northport has more nice restaurants than Omena. Close-by Sutton's Bay looked nice, but we didn't visit. The beach is super nice and has a few chairs and a fire pit. Overall, we had a very lovely time, and I recommend this property for a getaway.

Great location

The location was great. We enjoyed the close beach and water and grilling right at our vacation home. We loved downtown Northport for shopping and some meals. And it was so close to everything else for sight seeing, wine tasting, and more.

Lakeside Cottage

Perfect little cottage. 6 of us didn’t need anything more. Clean, beautiful location, and quiet. Loved sitting by the water early in the morning. Glad we brought air mattress, fit well in the screened porch area.

Weekend getaway

The cottage looks exactly like the photos. It is small but very cute on the inside. We loved the screened in porch and the short walk to the beach that is on the property. It was very clean upon arrival. It probably could use some updates but we loved that there was a grill for the cottage and chairs to be outside.
