Welcome to your sunny home in the beautiful Tahoe Truckee Sierras! Tahoe Donner is a fun-filled community with many family activities and a rec center with a hot tub, sauna, swimming pool, tennis, pickle ball, bocci ball, and full gym. There is a small market nearby, private Lake and Beach access, an affordable ski hill inside the community, and easy access right off I80. We've created a cozy, comfortable haven to relax after your day of playing in the snow or sunning at the lake, with a complete kitchen ready to cook a big family meal and an open common area to spend time with friends and family.
The space:
A maximum of 6 people best enjoy our house to keep a balanced and ample feeling. Yet, we are open to hosting up to 8 guests by using pull-out beds, which will sacrifice privacy and space but could help you have a more affordable (and cozier) stay.
Casa del Sol has three bedrooms with queen beds, three full baths, two lofts for overflow sleeping, and two more pull-out single beds on the main level. We are work-ready with a computer monitor and mouse and fast wifi. We have two Smart TVs, one in the living room (43") and a second in the family loft (32").
Casa del Sol is pet-friendly! Please remember that we welcome only well-behaved pets that have been well-trained by their owners and bring their beds (no pets sleeping on couches or beds, sorry!). Your furry family members will love the many trails throughout this dog-friendly community. You can have an excellent relaxing outdoor area time with your pet in the front yard, deck, streets, and trails (always on leash), with the understanding that you will be with your pet at all times (not leaving pets alone and unattended in the house). We charge a $100 pet fee.
This is our home away from home, and we decided to share its relaxing beauty for others to experience. And we hope you feel like an extended family while enjoying the house. As we kindly open our doors to you, we ask that you treat this home with the care and respect you'd afford your own family's home.

The whole house and outdoors, as well as community amenities. The garage may be available upon request with a minimum of 48 hours notice.
Other details to note:
Strictly NO street parking allowed in the neighborhood. You can only park on the driveway that may fit four standard-sized cars (less if oversized vehicles) and inside the garage upon request with a minimum of 48 hours' notice. Regarding the garage, please be mindful that it is a relatively small garage that can comfortably park one compact car. If you plan to park a tall SUV or a truck in the garage, you may have clearance issues.
Quiet hours are STRICTLY enforced between 10 pm and 7 am.
BEARS in the neighborhood. You must use the bear box for garbage and avoid leaving food inside your cars to prevent bears from breaking in.
We have a level driveway, but there is a "dip" upon entering the driveway. If you have a car relatively low to the ground, the vehicle may scrape, so please enter the driveway at an angle to avoid any damage to your vehicle.
We will assign you a code to punch into the SmartLock deadbolt on the door to enter the house. This will be your code throughout your stay and will be reset upon checkout. The door automatically locks after five minutes, so please remember your code to avoid getting locked out of the house. If you find yourself locked out, we can also unlock it remotely for you.
