The new building with inner patio lies in Berlin-Mitte between Spittelmarkt and the Märkisches Museum. 100 meters walk to U-Bahn station, line U2. Apartments have floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies. Living rooms are designed with real wood parquet, large-format porcelain stoneware tiles were used for the bathroom floors. World-class brands of fittings can be found in the bathroom equipment as well as towel radiators and underfloor heating.

Modern, comfortable apartment in a nice neighborhood

We enjoyed the extra space and kitchen. Definitely more comfortable than the tiny hotel rooms typically found in large cities. The neighborhood was nice, with several coffee shops and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The owner was always responsive and helpful.

GREAT FLAT AND LOCATION!

Everything was great. The flat is close to the U-BAHN station and just 2 stops from Alexander platz. I would repeat next time in Berlin with the same property. Thanks Vladimir :)

Nice clean apartment in great area

The apartment was centrally located and a short easy walk to the metro and to many of the must-see landmarks in Berlin. The apartment was clean and quiet but was a different (but equivalent) unit than what was shown in the pictures. Getting the key felt like a bit of a treasure hunt, made slightly more difficult as it was pouring rain when we arrived. That said, carefully reading (and then rereading) the provided instructions got the job done. Parking in the area is not great so that needs to be factored in. We made an arrangement with the owner to use a parking spot in another of his buildings, which was a bit of a walk, but worked for ppus. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay there again when back in Berlin.

The apartment is very comfortable, and conveniently located for public transport. The only problem was the communication about getting the keys which came late and was confusing. It would have been impossible to get the keys in the dark. The first indication was a WhatsApp message with three photos, no text to say what it was about. It was an unknown number to me so I blocked it. Tip - start with something like: Here is some information about getting the keys.

Review of a stay in Spittelmarkt apartment

A pretty nice and roomy 2-room (one bedroom) apartment in a new building very close to Spittelmarkt underground station. Location is pretty central and very convenient, next to U station and just south of the Museum Island. Got my key through a locker on the street next to the apartment, worked very well; upon departure just left the kyes on the table and shot the door behind. After some initial hiccup (the owner was very responsive and service minded) Internet connection has been fixed and worked quite well and stable. There is a washing machine and a dryer at the apartment - which is very convenient. Didn't use the garage/parking space, can't tell how it works, there is a big garage with marked spots under the building, accessible through staircase/elevator. The apartment is equipped a bit on the scarce side (kitchen utensils, lighting, furniture in the living room), but this is not really dramatic, especially for a short stay (I stayed nearly a month). Overall, a pretty nice and very conveniently located apartment, highly recommended for a single or a couple, or perhaps a family with one kid.

Two Night Stay

We booked this apartment last minute and it, overall, was a nice place to stay. We did have a hiccup with not receiving the check in instructions (which were a bit tricky), but once I reached out we were sent instructions immediately. The unit pictured is not the unit we received unfortunately. The unit we received was not too different and was still clean and comfortable, but it was obvious it was not the one pictured. The only other downside is the noise level of the apartment building itself. The building is lovely but the volume of people outside or on their balconies bounces off the walls of inner courtyard and can be loud at times. There are also postings throughout the building which makes it obvious they aren't very "excited" about short term renters. However, I do understand, as guests probably don't realized the majority of the other units are permanent residents and have to deal with the noise vacationers may cause. But again, it is a lovely apartment in a lovely area, the issues noted are just something I would want to know ahead of time.

Tolle Wohnung in Berlin Mitte

Für ein Wochenende mit vier Personen absolut ausreichend, länger ggfs etwas zu klein. Wir haben nicht gekocht oder die Küche benutzt, daher können wir diese nicht beurteilen. Das Haus ist relativ neu und in sehr gutem Zustand. Die Wohnung geht zum Innenhof raus und ist absolut ruhig. Toller großer Balkon. Einziges Manko aus unserer Sicht: die Adresse stimmt nicht mit dem Inserat überein. Die Wohnung ist in der Wallstraße.

Alles sauber und waren sehr zufrieden. Wir waren lediglich über die sehr kleinen Handtücher überrascht. Diese sind für Kinder sicher ausreichend jedoch für Erwachsene etwas knapp bemessen. Sonst alles sehr gut, sauber und unglaublich gut gelegen.

Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt. Bei der Wohnung gibt es allerdings Verbesserungspotential. Es fehlt ein großer Spiegel. Es gibt nur den im Bad über dem Waschbecken. Im Bad gibt es keine Möglichkeit das Handtuch nahe am Waschbecken anzuhängen, es gibt nur den Handtuchheizkörper gegenüber vom Waschbecken und eine Türhakenleiste die sehr hoch hängt (selbst für mich, ich bin 1,75 m groß). Die Flurgarderobe sollte gegen umfallen gesichert sein (kleine Kinder könnten darunter „begraben“ werden, wenn sie umfällt). Die Stühle an der Küchentheke benötigen dringend Filzgleiter unter den Beinen (das Geräusch was sie beim Ziehen verursachen ist ohrenbetäubend, mal abgesehen von dem Schaden der auf dem Fußboden verursacht wird). Im Wohnbereich wäre eine Stehlampe schön. Auf den Deckenleuchten im Wohnzimmer liegt dicker Staub, den man von unten sieht… Die Matratze auf der rechten Seite (vom Fußende gesehen) ist schon etwas durchgelegen (da ich alleine in Wohnung war, kann ich über den Zustand der anderen Seite keine Aussage machen). Ich hätte mir ein Handtuch mehr gewünscht. Es gab nur ein Duschtuch und ein Handtuch… Der Schrank im Schlafzimmer hat nur Möglichkeiten zum aufhängen von Kleiderbügeln. Es fehlen Einlegeböden um Kleidung hinzulegen. Die Lage der Wohnung ist top. Das spiegelt sich allerdings auch in dem sehr hohen Preis wieder.

Das Schlafsofa ist leider sehr unbequem. Es gab nur ein Bettlaken auf dem Sofa, dadurch war die Ritze immer spürbar. Die Küche ist nur minimal ausgestattet, der Topf zum Nudeln kochen reicht gerade so für eine Packung Spaghetti. Es gibt keine Schüsseln. Die Lage ist ruhig an einer Fahrradstraße und Nähe zur U-Bahn Kommunikation mit Vermieter in Englisch und sehr gut.
