We would not have booked this cabin if it were portrayed accurately.
The entire resort area this season has a very bad yellow-jacket infestation. We had to purchase traps that were almost immediately filled with hundreds of yellow-jackets. Despite the traps, we were not able to spend any time outside the cabin hanging out because of the danger of being stung. I believe this information is vital and should be disclosed to a guest.
The entire resort grassy area is covered in Canadian Goose poop. This might not bother some, but we would not have chosen to come here if we knew this in advance.
There is a fifth wheel RV parked within a foot of one entire side of the cabin. The shore at the lake where the dock is is not a pleasant area for swimming due to the excessive weed growth in the lake.
Cleaning fee and damage deposit: there is a non-refundable cleaning fee and a refundable damage deposit associated with rental, however, there is a sign in the bathroom that tells the renter that, in order to ensure you receive the entire damage deposit back , you must sweep and mop all floors, place used towels in a hamper, do all dishes, and wipe the kitchen counters down before leaving.
The majority of the windows do not open and those that do do not have screens so we could not have a cross breeze to keep the cabin cool.
The owners are friendly and responsive to requests, and the cabin is very cute inside. We saw a cute beaver and two frogs. We enjoyed the badminton court.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place to anyone, given the above information.
