The cabin is very nice. Spacious, pretty, inviting. Main bathroom is heavenly. 3 beds; 4 couches. Lots to do in the area, especially for nature lovers!
Some things worth noting:
1. The front door is 10-15 feet from a road. (You enter from the back door). The front of the house contains the master suite and the only other bedroom upstairs. You can hear every car drive by while you are in bed.
2. There is a pond on property for fishing. However, there is only about a 4-foot piece of land, on an incline, where you can cast out. The rest of the pond is surrounded by trees and bushes, aside from one open area but the water is filled with lilypads. The check-in email mentioned river fishing, but in one spot it says to call, in another it mentions a fee, and in another it says it's free. No one answered when we called the number.
3. The check-in info is very long and unorganized. It can be confusing and difficult to find relevant info.
4. Wood is provided but bring starter logs & fluid if you want a fire. No kindling is provided (email states this); we hunted some down but it was wet due to rain. Never got our fire going, sadly.
5. You will be charged a cleaning fee, service fee, and host fee, but asked to strip beds, wash towels & dishes, and leave a tip for cleaning staff. We always clean up after ourselves so that's fine, but keep that in mind as it may feel a bit like overkill.
Overall, a nice place, but some things could be better conveyed. We enjoyed our short stay.
