Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place on Hamlin Lake near Ludington.**Boat slip must be reserved**

Canary is a two bedroom, one bath historical space and has everything you need for a special Ludington vacation. This cottage is part of a duplex and is located at Hamlin Lakeside resort, Vacation Lane.

Vacation Lane is a small property of privately owned cottages and features a private sandy beach, playgrounds, marina, and boat slips. Boat slip may be available **must be reserved.

Canary Cottage On Hamlin Lake | Part of Vacation Lane | Furnished Screened Porch | Next to Boating & Beaches | Boat Slip Available on Request | Small space approx. 400 SQFT (cozy) | Part of a duplex with sister 1 Bed, 1 Bath space, Sandpiper (rented separately w/separate entrance). Walking distance to Ice-cream/Ice/Bait shop, boat rentals. Short drive to Ludington State Park and Ludington.

Bedroom 1: Queen Bed | Bedroom 2: Full Bed, Twin Bed (bunk style)

OUTDOOR LIVING: Screened porch, gas grill, outdoor seating & dining.
INDOOR LIVING: Smart TV, dining table, shower, air conditioning.
KITCHEN: Stove/oven, refrigerator, cooking basics, dishware/flatware, coffee maker, toaster, microwave.
GENERAL: Free WiFi, central heating/air conditioning, complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, hangers, linens/towels, trash bags/paper towels.
VACATION LANE: 13 privately owned cottages with common spaces including beach, swimming area, marina, playground, fire pit, horseshoes, charcoal grill, seating, The Quiet Place and The Gathering Place. STRICT NO PET POLICY.
PARKING: Off Wisconsin and Indiana Streets. Room for boat trailers.
LAKE ACCESS: Private beach with swimming area. Kayaks can be launched from the property (but not provided). Public boat launch , South Bayou Park, is directly across the street. Boat slip may be available **must be reserved. Max length 18ft, shallow draft.
LAKESIDE: Enjoy lake breezes and sunsets on Hamlin Lake!
LUDINGTON: Home to 28 miles of sugar-sand coastline and four different beaches. Outdoor rec includes boating, fishing, hiking, lighthouses, farmers market, shops, restaurants, live music, etc. Check the calendar!

At first our stay was very pleasant. The cottage is rustic but cute. Everything you could possibly need was thought of. Unfortunately there was a problem with mice. We contacted Chris and he sent over the cleaning lady to set traps. The traps were set wrong. So the mice ate the bate but were not caught. The next night Chris came over at 9pm to set new traps. He apologized profusely but treated me like I was being ridiculous. For 3 nights I tried to sleep in the bedroom with pillows stuffed under the door to keep the mice out of my room. Everyday I had to wipe down the counters and sweep the floor from mouse residue. On the 3rd day I had to sweep up 3 dead mice in traps. I asked Chris for 2 nights reimbursement. VRBO said there was nothing they could do. Chris offered to waive the cleaning fee. I'm now seeking action with my credit card company.

Another wonderful stay at this location. The cottage and resort is clean and comfortable. Our family has been staying at this resort for 21 years and enjoy it every year.

Cozy and comfortable cabin right next to lake

Family friendly gem of a cottage that happily slept five. Kitchen has everything you need, comfortable beds, good shower and water pressure. Proximity to private beach and dock for fishing was fantastic. Close to town and the public beaches. A great place

The cottage was very cute. Loved the front porch. Was able to relax their in the evening. The cottage is older but seemed to be kept up quite well. The rooms are small but clean. The bed was comfortable. We were there for one night so didn't use the kitchen appliances. The swimming area was nice, it is a shared area with chairs. When we arrived all of the chairs were taken, would suggest to bring chairs. There was quite a bit of seaweed in the water but were told they clean it up every morning. It is the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Had a good stay.
