Great place for our family vacation!! The weather was not cooperative, so we spent a lot of time in the house! Plenty of space for everyone and we enjoyed the pool table! Loved having two refrigerators.

Even with the weather not cooperating, it's fantastic you were able to make the most of your stay. We hope to welcome you back to Hatteras Island soon for another memorable visit!

The Surf or Sound company will nickel and dime you for everything - pretty much everything was an additional charge, including bed sheets and towels. The house was nice but not set up well for a short-term rental (no towel hooks in bathrooms/bedrooms, no hand soap in bathrooms, no place to put luggage, etc.). Communication with the Surf or Sound company was less than ideal, especially during a state of emergency situation (nor’easter storm) that occurred while we were staying there. Trying to talk to someone on-shore when we needed something was nearly impossible, which made a stressful situation even worse. Buxton beach was about a 5-10 minute walk away from the home, but this beach isn’t great for swimming as the waves are extremely strong. I was unfamiliar with the Outer Banks beaches and thought we’d be able to swim at this beach but unfortunately we couldn’t. The pool and hot tub were a plus for that reason.I wouldn’t personally stay at this house again and would think twice before booking another Surf or Sound property.

House was clean and served us well with the bedrooms all being kings. The only reason that it’s. It 5 stars , several of us were planning on using the washer/dryer during our stay, but the washer although very new, did not work.

Great house in a great location, but the washing machine didn’t work. A part has been ordered to fix it, so hopefully the next guests will be able to use it.
