We had a great stay at Elly’s Downtown Loft! Close to the lake, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed during our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay! The location was perfect—an easy walk to the lake, restaurants, and everything downtown. The condo was very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Amazing host. It had everything we needed for a fun girls' weekend.The only thing I would suggest is making the listing more clear about the noise. It does mention that the unit is above a bar, but it's worth emphasizing that it's above a very lively bar that stays open until 2:00 a.m. If you're planning to enjoy the nightlife and stay out late, it's not an issue at all. But if you're hoping to turn in early, be prepared to hear the music and activity until the bar closes. I would just suggest joining in and closing down the bar!

Great Spot!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Clear Lake for a concert at the Surf! The location was spot on for us to be able to walk to dinner, drinks and the show. The one thing to note is the loft is directly above Elly's bar (It does say so in the description), however anticipate noise until bar close.

The VRBO property description should clearly disclose that there is a bar directly below the unit, and that on most nights, the music and bass are loud enough that the beds literally shake. Even with earplugs or noise-canceling headphones, we could still hear the music, conversations, and shouting, and the bass was impossible to ignore.Some nights the noise quieted down around 11:00 PM or midnight, while on others it continued until 1:00 or 2:00 AM. This wasn't something we were aware of when booking, and we only learned about it after we had already paid. I've lived above bars before, so I expected some noise, but this was on a completely different level.That said, aside from the noise, the property is great. The location is outstanding, the beds are comfortable, and the accommodations themselves were clean and well maintained. If you're a heavy sleeper or plan to stay out late, it may be a great fit. But if getting a good night's sleep is important to you, I think this is something prospective guests should know before booking.
