You’ll be close to all the best central Raleigh has to offer in our newly renovated cottage! Steps from shopping and eateries in the Village District, walking distance to NC State Central Campus, a mile to Glenwood South and less than 10 minutes to downtown. Or, stay in and enjoy the amenities of our freshly updated space! A brand new kitchen, open floor plan, side deck, front porch and back patio offer perfect places to kick back & relax during your time here. We would love to host you at The Village Cottage!

Primary bedroom has King bed.
Second bedroom has Queen bed.
Third bedroom has Twin-over-Full Bunk Beds, and floor mattress.
Additional twin bed with box spring & mattress available upon request.
Twin Air Mattress available by request.

Very nicely and well out together home/stay with plenty of room and activities in the home. Beautiful kitchen island and master bath. Simple check-in/checkout.Groceries and restaurants less than .5 mile away. Perfect location in the Raleigh circle.

Easy check-in and very responsive host. House felt cold/drafty and we couldn’t adjust the thermostat without contacting the host; but they responded quickly. Would have liked some background music but the stereo receiver didn’t work. We were only there only one night and just needed a place to sleep and it worked well for that. Furnishings were adequate and the kitchen seemed adequately equipped. Charming neighborhood but kind of sad to see all of the demo and rebuilding happening.

Hi Allan, the thermostat for the home is located in the hallway, and is controllable using that device for all guests and at all times. We're sorry you had trouble! Additionally, we are always happy to adjust the temperature remotely for guests like we did for you. We did inspect the stereo and found it in working order, and have since posted operating instructions so other guests won't have the same trouble you did. Thanks again for booking our place! You're welcome back any time.

Don't judge a book by its cover! While the outside of the house could use a little love, the inside is great! Great location; super clean and the host was really easy to work with. The only issue we had was that the CO2 monitor was going off when we came home from being gone all day so we had to call the fire department. All was well after they checked the property but the monitor seemed to be faulty as it went off again later that night. The fire department inspected all the detectors in the house and said they were all quite old and need to be replaced.We also didn't love that we couldn't control the tempature in the house ourselves. It was controlled remotely via Google Nest - it was unseasonbly warm the weekend we were there and the house got quite stuffy!

Hi Julia, we are happy to report that the CO detector that kept tripping was replaced, and there are new smoke detectors throughout the home. Please note, none of these were malfunctioning! But, all are new. For the AC, there is a thermostat in the hallway and you can control the heat & AC there! The temperature can be set by using the scroll on the side of the dial. We can also adjust remotely for any guests, but you DO always have control over the temperature yourselves. Please ask if you have questions about something like this during your stay - we could have helped while you were on site!

FAMILY WEDDING

The space worked remarkably well especially given the size of our group (9). This did mean the 2 spare twin mattresses were pressed into service but they were comfortable and fully adequate to our needs. The kitchen was very well equipped and the 2 bathrooms were quite nice. Most importantly for us the location simply could not have been more central. A perfect match for our events over the weekend.
