Perfect week

We’ve been coming back to one Seagrove place for a few years now. This stay was wonderful. It was a perfect week. We especially appreciated the ample bath towels. Thank you. I would recommend some plastic cups for this unit, for the kids or adults who don’t want to use glass. That’s really the only recommendation. We had everything we needed and gorgeous sunsets on the beach. A very memorable week and will be back next year.

Lovely place. We’ll be back.

Superb view and location. Good size for two people. Fantastic beach access. Nice community swimming pool. I hope they replace the primary bedroom bed frame someday. Perhaps with a frame from Thuma? This bed is on a higher than normal bed platform that makes it a little awkward to get onto and off of, and it makes a •very• loud squeaking sound when a couple is using it for normal “bed activity.” This wouldn’t prevent us from renting it again in the future, but it’s the only drawback for us.

Condition

Overall, I, as the person who made the reservations, was overall happy with the condo. There was an issue with the ice machine being accidentally turned off by the cleaning crew, but maintenance took care of that immediately. We needed a couple of light bulbs that were not working, one was a lamp, which maintenance also took care of immediately; the other was the light under the microwave, which was no real big deal to me. The one in the lamp was needed. The guest bathroom tub kept backing up, which one of the guests was really unhappy about and called several times complaining and asking for extended check out and money off our costs. I was not happy that this happened. The other guests were also not happy with things being handled in this manner. We were very happy with everything else. Thank you so much!!!! Marie at the front desk was so kind and accommodating. And James, oh my goodness, he is a treasurer.

Has Some Issues

First the positives. Great location!! Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful beach and views. Now the not so great. One elevator working all week. Extremely long waits to go up or down. 2nd elevator out all week. Should have been fixed immediately. Day of checkout took 2 hours to get family down from the 11th floor with our luggage carts. Never room in the elevator to get in. This was miserable. Ice maker doesn’t work in this unit. No ice machine on property. Had to make several trips to convenient store for ice. I reported it early but nobody ever showed to fix it.

Nice stay

We booked this unit because we wanted direct ocean front views. It definitely provided! Also nice that the unit was at end of complex, allowing more unobstructed views to east of sea grove. The staff in lobby were very friendly and helpful, and we were impressed with the cleanliness of the main lobby area and easy access to beach. Note that the unit itself is SMALL. We had 5 adult size family members and it was too small, having one of our teens use the couch to sleep which made early mornings difficult. Would recommend no more than 4 people per unit. Bathrooms and kitchen a little dated but clean. Master bathroom was very small. Our biggest complaint was the beach chair rentals. Even though we booked rental chairs early, we still had to speak to the chair attendant on beach to confirm booking and request our spot every morning at 8am. Also competing with the other tenants who had their own chairs already set up with prime ocean views by 6am. It was a huge hassle every morning. Overall, nice stay but wouldn’t book here again due to size of unit and the beach chair issue.
