Cozy Riverside Cabin in Blowing Rock Blue Ridge Mountains, River, Close to App Ski Resort

Pine Needles Cabin is a classic riverside log cabin located between Boone and Blowing Rock. A short six minute drive will take you to Downtown Blowing Rock where you will find local dining and shopping, in addition to the community park. Hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway, about five minutes from the cabin, for scenic overlooks and numerous hiking trails. Nestled in the mountains, this modern cabin seamlessly combines comfort and style. A striking stone fireplace anchors the living area, surrounded by inviting leather furniture. Large windows offer sweeping mountain views, blurring the lines between indoors and nature. Modern design touches, from the well-appointed kitchen to tasteful decor, create a cozy yet refined atmosphere.

We recommend snow chains and AWD/4WD during the winter in the High Country in case of inclement weather.

The property is located in the mountains, please be aware there may be wildlife in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was cozy, hot tub was really nice. Had all the essentials. Our family loves to grill and luckily there was a charcoal grill at the property. Don't think its in the photos. The creek right in front of the cabin was my favorite! Kids had tons of fun playing there. Loved the fresh flowers and small gifts that were left for us at check in!!! It was pretty clean, but then again its pet friendly so cant expect perfection. Overall I would definitely book again.

The cabin is just as cozy as the photos. The fireplace worked great and the house was spotless. It was tucked into the woods next to a stream and was very private. Blowing Rock was a beautiful city with lots to do and great restaurants. We will definitely come again. A real find

Fabulous setting with accessible creek 20 feet from the front door. Great location to travel to Blowing Rock or Boone, and from where to do day trips to other mountain attractions. It was rainy most of the time we were there, but the living room fireplace made hunkering down a little more cozy. Recommended.

The check in was super easy. The cabin comfortable. The kitchen is ok, but somewhat sparse. Just needs a few more dishes, glasses and silverware. The river is right in the front yard and beautiful. Many fun choices for seating and enjoying the river and the outdoors, swings, rockers and chairs. The location is perfect, easy to head to Blowing Rock or Boone.

A great weekend getaway!

Perfect, convenient location to anything you need! We went to Tweetsie one day and played in the creek the next! The hot tub was wonderful to warm us up after creek hopping. The cabin itself was quaint. Really everything we needed for a few days. Beds were comfy! The cleanliness was a little less than expected and there were a few obvious repairs that needed to be made. Window units were in pretty bad shape and needed cleaning. We struggled the most with communication with host. Other reviews expressed great communication and we just did not get it for our short stay. Thankfully, we didn’t need much! Overall, we’d come back due to the beautiful location and convenience to things we love!

Rustic getaway

Beautiful, convenient location. Rental could use a little spruce up of simple maintenance items. We enjoyed our stay though and the beds were comfortable.

Pics on line did not portray the conditions of the property.

We checked out early because property had a smell, interior old, bed linens not clean. Certainly no value in the cost we paid. Would not recommend to anyone at this time. Communication was spotty with property manager. I went a few months without hearing an answer to my message.

Lovely Mountain Weekend

My friends and I had so much fun staying here! After our hike we relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed the beautiful river and surrounding area. We loved the cozy indoor fireplace.Thanks for a lovely stay!

The coziest cabin!

We really appreciated all of the extra touches! Lots of bath towels, shampoo, conditioner & body wash in the shower, extra blankets & pillows! Everything you need in the kitchen! It was clean & comfortable. Ziggy is a top notch business owner & catered to our needs! We will be returning !

Very nice with one exception.

Very comfortable place with great location. Only issue was it was very cold outside and there was no heat on upon arrival and took a long time to warm the place up. Having no central heat, multiple radiant heaters and a few space heaters it was not only slow to warm up but then to regulate the heat. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable stay.Quite clean and comfortable.

Great place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this cozy cabin! It was the perfect place for a family getaway. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The spacious living area made it easy for us to relax together, and the kitchen was great for cooking meals after a day out. One of the biggest highlights was its location – just a short drive to Appalachian Ski Mountain, which made hitting the slopes so convenient. Whether you’re skiing, snowboarding, or just enjoying the scenery, this cabin offers a great base for all your adventures. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
