The house was all we were hoping for! Much larger inside than we thought. The kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms were clean and roomy, the bed was comfy, and the living room was cozy. Loved spending time on the beach! The view from the upper deck was fantastic, but we didn't spend any time up there (we went to the beach instead). Our only complaint was the neighbor to the south... they were up late and very loud! We could hear their entire conversations even with our windows closed. That's not a reflection on this rental, just a reflection on them. We'd definitely stay here again!

This was a perfect house to rent for a family! Ample space to exist without being in each others way, functional and comfortable amenities.

Highly recommend

Well maintained older house. Exceptionally clean, kitchen has all the necessities, plenty of room for our party of 6 adults, good beach access. Somewhat dated but very comfortable and clean. I would stay there again.

The location was great! Great eating spaces. Beach was not heavily populated even on a Saturday. Great place to hang with family. Only negatives was the musty smell and the darkness from the dark paneling.

Thanksgiving Family Getaway

Very comfortable and well-appointed home for our family's Thanksgiving Holiday getaway. Beach access is easy from this oceanfront home. The location is great with fishing pier, restaurants, Fort Fisher Historic Site, Aquarium and shopping all within a short drive.

Good Times for Sure

Where do I start?!!! Everything was fabulous!! I hated to leave and I've never felt that way on other vacations. Clean, organized, convenient..it was absolutely perfect! We truly had " Good Times"!!!

Good times indeed!!!

What a great vacation thanks to VRBO. Property description was spot on and the house was really nicely appointed. Loved the rooftop deck! Kitchen was small but well equipped for our needs. I liked the ease of the keyless entry. VRBO is easy to use and Bryant was very responsive to our questions. If our vacation party remains at the same number, I'd use this cottage again. If we need a bigger place, we will return to VRBO. My daughter and I have used them for a few years now and it couldn't be easier.

Perfect girls’ getaway

4 friends in their 40s had a great time. That rooftop deck is the perfect place to relax, catch up, and eat. Very short walk to the beach. Great location.

Highly recommended, but just a heads up...

This house is everything described in the listing and more. It is in a great neighborhood, the house was immaculate, and there's nothing bad to say, really. Be aware that most of the bedrooms don't have ceiling fans. If you're the type who needs moving air or noise to sleep, take a box fan. The bedrooms in the older part of the house are extremely dark, due to dark paneling on the walls and ceiling. One bedroom has lamps on either side of the bed, but there is no receptacle within reach of the cords. Take some extension cords to alleviate this problem. This isn't a complaint, it's just a heads up. We had a great stay, after a trip to the dollar store to procure these items.

Right on the beach, too - we kept the windows open so we could hear the ocean! The porch up top had a perfect view of the beach and we spent most of our time up there. Everyone loved this house and we would definitely rent it again! Bryant Real Estate was also easy to work with - they responded quickly to all questions, had an app that made everything simple (it had information about the keyless checkin, trash day, weather forecast, and even places to eat nearby), and were very polite. Thanks to the house owners and to Bryant Real Estate!

Good times was great times.

This house was the perfect size for our group... Two adult couples, one adult by herself, and a 3 year old. We ended up not even using the kids room, but it was a good place to stash a lot of our luggage. Highlights: - The house was super clean. - The house is perfectly located... easy walk to the pier (to the south) or Carolina Beach shops/restaurants (to the north). - The communities across the street are really nice to walk/run through... for a longer walk/run, it’s really easy to get to the Carolina Beach Greenway. - The bedrooms get really dark which was awesome on days we wanted to sleep in. - Lots of space to eat for big family meals. - The rooftop balcony was awesome (except for the caveat below) - Really easy to get on and off the beach. We never really even bothered to take a cooler to the beach because it was so easy to run back to the house and grab another drink. Couple of downsides, which probably couldn’t have been avoided... - We noticed ants in the kitchen and the main bathroom as soon as we walked in. However, the rental office had an exterminator out to spray for them in less than 24 hours after we called. -We all got really bit up by various bugs on our first night up on the rooftop balcony. We bought a few citronella candles after that and it seemed to help some. We would definitely stay again!

Great family vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family typically stays in a busy condo in Garden City SC. We wanted to try something quiet when I was booking last December - something more family oriented. We could not have picked a better year to try quiet with COVID-19 included in our plans! The beach in front of the house was pretty much ours so there was no "Social distancing" concern. The house was just as we expected. We knew it was a smaller house and would be a little cramped but that is kind of what we wanted. We wanted to have a location where the only thing to do was to enjoy each others company, play board games, and sit on the beach. The location of the house is great - this area is kept up much better than Carolina Beach. We would come back again. That being said, the owner could address a few things. The master bedrooms was FREEZING. We ended up closing all our vents and had to keep our door open at night. I slept in sweatpants and a long sleeved shirt. If we changed the temperature in the house then everyone else was sweating all night. The master bathroom door lock was a little hard to unlock. The other bathroom door was repaired while on site because people kept getting locked in. The first two steps up going towards the beach were repaired some while I was onsite. One of the steps was slanting downwards which led to me falling twice. I am sure code does not require a handrail but it would be nice if one was installed. The step remained a little slanted probably because there was nothing to nail to - at least what we got our of the conversation the repairman was having with himself:) And one little thing, every paper plate we placed on the kitchen table had to be pealed back off. At first we thought it was because the food was hot but then it happened with cold food as well. Not sure what was causing it. After we had been in the house a few hours we noticed our grandson was finding things on the floor and putting them in his mouth. Upon closer look the rug was really dirty.
