Best Sunsets on Sullivans- Beachfront- Top Floor

Found at the western end of Sullivan’s Island, this condo is in a cottage built by the US government in approximately 1913. The cottage served as housing for enlisted female nurses that served at Camp Moultrie Hospital.
Our 2nd floor unit has the best views on Sullivans Island while optimizing privacy. Watch large vessels that enter and exit the harbor pass silently by the front yard. Dolphins can be seen swimming by most days. And look across the water to Fort Sumter- where the first shots of the Civil War were fired. The views are truly magical. The beach is lovely and generally only occupied by the small number of residents and visitors at the western end of the island. The cottage is situated right next door to historic Fort Moultrie which has many acres of lightly used grounds and paths that make for what seems like a private park. The beach going east is undeveloped for over a mile as the maritime forest and trails make for a mostly barren area. Walking west of the cottage you will see historic island homes, views of Ft. Sumter, downtown Charleston and the Ravenel Bridge. This quiet street and peaceful space is perfectly suited for young families and empty nesters. This is your opportunity to enjoy one of the few beachfront condo rentals on Sullivan's Island.

Restaurants and nightlife options are a short distance from the condo. Grocers and pharmacies can be found right over the bridge in Mount Pleasant.
If you love golf, tennis or pickle ball, there are courses and courts available.
Smart TV and wireless internet will keep you connected while away from home. You will also find books and games for your entertainment.
Enjoy the outdoor spaces as much as possible! There are front and back porches, a large, shared yard and plenty of seating at the edge of the dunes. ***Licensed rental by Town of Sullivan’s Island

We really enjoyed our stay! It was fun to watch the boats come in and out of the harbor. Steps to the beach & about a mile from wonderful restaurants. Only complaint is that the bedrooms were hot (I’m a hot sleeper)- so I slept on the couch most nights. Luckily the couch was large and comfortable. We will stay here again!

We had a great time and the condo was perfect for our stay!! It had everything we needed including towels and chairs for the beach. We loved the area and the location - easy to go into Charleston and visit some of the area attractions. Sullivan's Island and the beach are beautiful and a lovely area. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with a view of the ocean and watching the boats go by and the activity on the water. We saw dolphins several times. We also liked sitting on the chairs by the water and loved having the beach access so close. Katherine was kind and very responsive in helping to resolve an AC issue quickly and easily. We really enjoyed our stay at the condo and would definitely recommend it and would love to come back again the next time we are in the area.

The property is a TREASURE with the best view on the Island, but I worry about so much deferred maintenance. A building dating from 1913 CANNOT be allowed to deteriorate … it is NOT SUSTAINABLE. Please understand, I’m not talking about cosmetic issues … the property has always been “shabby/chic” and charming … I’m concerned about maintenance issues like peeling paint that exposes raw wood. Please don’t allow this precious property to remain vulnerable to the elements!!

The property is a treasure! As with many properties with multiple condos, the common areas require 100% participation and planning. Since 3 of the 4 units have short term rental licenses, any work other than emergency repairs must be scheduled in the off-season (November-January). As for #4, we have installed new flooring, updated several appliances and furniture. Plans for interior painting and window replacement is in the works for the off season. We hope to see you again next summer!

This truly is a special place. The updates thy made to the condo were wonderful. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you might need and towels/blankets galore. We will definitely be staying again. The front porch is perfect for watching all the large boats and dolphins daily!!

We loved this property! The inside was clean and charming, and it was easy to feel at home. The deck overlooking the beach was incredible, and we spent many hours out there enjoying our morning coffee, enjoying a good book and just taking in the warm breezes and beautiful views. Also, it was just a mile walk to the cluster of excellent pubs and restaurants at the center of the island. Truly an unforgettable experience!

Fantastic location with beach access, ocean views and convenience to town of Sullivan's Island and Mt. Pleasant. We spent most of our time taking walks on the beach and relaxing on the patio.

Great way to discover Sullivan’s Island

Great location, quiet, and as other reviews pointed out; very rustic. But we saw dolphins from our porch daily, watched ships entering the harbor, biked the island daily, had a lovely stay!

A sweet, beachy-vibe condo with an absolutely amazing view of the ocean. Lots of ships/boats to watch. Only a two-minute walk to the beach. Short drive to ice cream and shops. We would stay here again!

The western end of the island is the most peaceful! Being next door to Fort Moultrie while looking across the water to Fort Sumter and the lighthouse at Folly’s Beach is amazing. There is great fishing to the left of the property and great swimming to the right of the property.
