LOCATION LOCATION! You've just found a charming, quaint and cozy beach cottage on the beautiful Isle of Palms. The location can't be beat, just 20 minutes from historic downtown Charleston, TWO blocks from the beach (6min walk) and one block from the grocery store, shops and restaurants. A spacious fenced-in backyard surrounded by large palm trees with updated appliances, decor, and furniture will make your stay feel just like home. Pets welcome!

Comfortable home and easy walk to the beach. Also within short walk to shopping area with grocery store and restaurants/coffee shop. Large fenced yard which was a plus for our dog.

Fenced back yard had plenty of room for playing with the dog. We are at the beach so the yard is sandy and has a lot of trees, a fire pit, picnic table, and deck. There are chairs in closet for beach or the yard. Interior was spotless and all of the furniture was very comfortable. There were nice smelling toiletries in the bathroom. The Kitchen layout worked well for the 2 of us. It shows that the owner cares about your experience staying at the cottage. It is a true beach cottage so if you’re looking for fancy this is not it BUT if you’re looking for a comfortable beach old school experience you’re in the right place.

It was the perfect place for me and my husband to get away for a few days. We enjoyed the location and the quietness of the neighborhood. The backyard was excellent for our dog. We felt really comfortable and safe.

The host was wonderful! Quick and friendly communication and they even left coffee and water for us. The location is also good, with restaurants, grocery and a gas station right around the corner. It's also just a short drive to downtown Charleston. This a great property overall. While we enjoyed the property, it is best if you plan to be out and about. We were kind of stuck inside due to a nor'easter that blew through. Unfortunately, I found out pretty quickly that the couch is not exactly up for extended lounging! Outside of that, I would highly recommend the property!

Great house for a quick weekend stay in Isle of Palms. Close enough to walk to a public access to the beach and close enough to walk over to the grocery store and a morning coffee place. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our dog too.

My girlfriend absolutely loved the place. It has everything you need, perfect location and very close walking distance to water and beach shops. House was made to facilitate dog ownership with gated backyard and covers for sofas. So many luxuries all for an affordable price. My gf has been saying we need to book the same place again!

Pet friendly and close to beach, but the rental did not at all look like the picture, it was much shabbier. I frequently use vacation rentals and most are much better kept and updated than this. I do not expect a designer layout or amenities, but a bit more than this.

Perfect IOP location, easy to get to the beach or downtown area. Traffic on that side of the street is light so noise isn’t an issue. Would stay there again soon

Not enough bath towels for 4 adults

Very nice back yard for the puppies, close to the beach and lots of beach amenities. Would consider renting again.

Perfect last minute get away

Really enjoyed the fenced in cottage, that was literally steps away from the beach. Perfect proximity to grocery stores, restaurants, and beach access. We carried our dog in the wagon as he is aging, and it was a breeze. They provided so many extras for our stay that we honestly packed too much in the car, that we didn’t even need. All the necessities to grill out one night was provided as well. Just an overall stress free trip. I hope to be able to stay again in the future.

Great little cottage close to everything in Isle of Palms

This is a great little cottage. Close to everything & a great find. This allowed us to attend a family function in Isle of Palms & was centrally located to all our needs. Would recommend this cute little place.Liz is great...responded to all our questions within a few minutes of posting them.

Cozy Shack by the Beach

We had a lovely stay here. Kitchen was equipped and check out process was incredibly easy. It made leaving early very easy. Also it was walking distance to the beach and we enjoyed the nearby park.

Comfortable Cottage in Great Location!

Enjoyed our stay in this well equipped, classic IOP home. Easy access to beach and connector. Liz was an excellent host and very responsive. Highly recommend!

Weekend stay

We booked this property based on location, According to the map it was one house away from a large group we were traveling with and wanting to stay close to. The house ended up being over half a mile away from the location stated on VRBO. Not easily accessible with food and drinks to go back and forth.

Great location

We were in town for a wedding and this house was the perfect location. Close to everything. The yard was great for our pup and the neighborhood was nice for long walks.

Great location

Had a great time with the dogs at the Cottage by the Sea. Convenient to all amenities. Fenced yard was a great bonus. Host was quick to respond to messages.

Hey Y'all! My name is Liz. I moved to Charleston about 3 years ago (Boston native!) with my husband. We have 3 amazing children who absolutely love the beach! We live locally (about 10min away) and really enjoy coming to this great little cottage just steps away from the beach. We just purchased this property recently (June 2020) and have been making great upgrades. It really is the perfect getaway!

The 1/2 acre lot provides a spacious back yard that is fenced in, making it great for pets to run around without worry. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on the back deck listening to the sound of circades with your family and friends. Also a quick drive to downtown Charleston if you want to get off the island. Come check out the #1 travel destination city in the U.S.!
