This is the third time we have stayed at this beach house, and each time it is incredible! Walking distance to everything, the home is beautiful, clean, and will definitely stay there again

The condo and the views were just spectacular. Cool ocean breezes on the patio and walking distance to just about everything. Property manager Cheryl was super helpful. Can't wait to visit again.

Pros: Overall great location,right across a perfect swimmable beach , short walk to town, restaurants , cute shops and grocery stores. Unit has a good layout, very spacious and large , good kitchen well stacked, lots of bath and beach towels, easy operational washer and dryer, Balcony is overlooking the ocean , comfortable chairs to sit and enjoy . There is a bin with beach chairs, umbrella , beach toys and buggy board.Parking is great for one big SUV or a single large vehicle , or two small cars . We never used the dishwasher or BBQ's that are on the balcony, Cons: the condo had a very musty smell - most likely from the carpets that get cleaned and they stay wet , we had to leave the windows and patio door open for fresh air throughout the whole duration of our stay and used fans in the bedrooms to get better air circulation. with the windows and patio door open it was very noisy . The master bedroom was the worst when it came to air quality. Master bathroom also needs a little TLC and update its shower head for better water flow , we didn't go near the bathtub since also could use a replacement... This is a beautiful condo that could use a basic renovation that would bring out the best features but its is a rental ... we made the best of it. Unfortunately due to allergies in our family we won't be able to return unless there is a flooring upgrade from carpets to laminate , hardwood or tile flooring that could be maintained well free of stains and alergents.

Multi generational vacation

The property was just as it was portrayed on line, directly across from the beach with wonderful view and plenty of space for everyone. We all had more than enough room in our bedrooms, very comfortable beds and large closets. Parking was a breeze with underground spaces, and an elevator to get there while transporting baggage. The location is an easy walk to the village and restaurants. We were super happy with the total experience and hope to return in the future. Great job!!

A little anxiety

When we arrived, the windows were all closed and as we entered the main master bedroom, it smelled musty. We opened a few windows (the one's we could open) and could not get rid of the smell. The windows were marked as to which one's could open/not open. Very odd. Some of the window coverings were broken and you couldn't open or close them. Both bathtubs needed a little bit of cleaning when we arrived. The parking spots available are for small/compact cars, which should be stated in description. Sofa bed mattress was not comfortable at all, so we did not use it. We were not told that construction was going on next door. Was very noisy during the week we were there. Felt a little stressed to put things back to their rightful place. Never have we ever stayed somewhere where the owner seemed to "check up" on the renters. Did not feel comfortable about this. We have paid less for places near this rental and those places stocked the bathrooms with kleenex, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner & body wash. This place did not provide those items - only toilet paper and hand soap. We have never been asked to pay for insurance on a place, but had to with this one. It is in a nice area of Carlsbad, close to the beach and the mattress in the master bedroom was very nice. It has a nice set up, and could be a nice place to stay for most people. But, due to feeling "watched" and the musty smell, we will not rent this place in the future. Just a little disappointed.

Beautiful home, perfect location!

This is a beautiful home that is well maintained and perfect for what you need. We stayed here for 5 days with two small kids. It is a home, not a hotel - other reviewers were far too harsh in their assessment in my opinion. The location and views are spectacular, it's exactly why we chose to stay in this location. We used to live nearby and miss our sunsets from our own porch - this was just like being at home. Very comfy and accommodating. Definitely 100% recommend and we'd love to return on our next visit!

Needs deep cleaning, general maintenance and TLC

We booked this condo for an 11-day stay. Pluses: + Cheryl was very communicative when I had cleaning concerns and when the elevator was out of service. + The location is great + Condo is roomy + The elevator is convenient Areas that need improvement -- Every single room needs a deep cleaning, painting, repairs, and attention. --Bathrooms with walls with spills, dirty corners, etc --The patio is chocked full with extra chairs, 2 grills and little room to move about. --Toilet runs after every flush until you lift the tank lid and realign the flapper --Tight parking for two normal cars, let alone SUVs After check-in, I contacted Cheryl regarding the kitchen's having spills and "gunk" all over the cabinets, and the 2nd toilet running continuously. I also sent pictures of the additional dirty areas. She did have the cleaner return, but only the surfaces in the kitchen. Please fix the toilet - there is so much water being wasted. It seemed like a lot of money for a 3-star property.

Great property and excellent location! Our family enjoyed our stay at this property. The unit was very spacious. We were pleasantly surprised by how big the condo was compared to how it looked in the photos. The kitchen is very well stocked. The property manager did a great job communicating with us and checking in to make sure all was going well. We highly recommend this condo.

Great Location

Ocean front view. Easy elevator access from garage. Well equipped kitchen. Needs some interior paint refreshment. Only 2 blocks to downtown Carlsbad. Great nearby dining options.

Great place to enjoy CA

The condo is all about location-location- location! Close to beach- great porch sunsets! Easy access for walk to beach- ample supply of beach items. Condo had everything we needed for our stay. Close to excellent dining. Super location to zip up and down the coast to visit other sites! Can’t wait to return!

Great Place & Location

We really enjoyed out stay. The location is nearly on the beach which makes it easy to walk down with your beach gear every day. It is also a short walk to the Village which has lots of shops and restaurants. We would book this place again.

Beach view and short walk to village

Easy check in. Garage parking and elevator make it so easy to unload and load. Short walk to restaurants and shops. Right across the street to beach access. Love Carlsbad! Truly perfect for a family vacation.

Perfect family getaway

This is our 3rd time staying at this property because we love it so much. This year we took my parents and mother-in-law and they enjoyed it very much. Sitting on the patio, staring at the ocean was all they wanted. This unit is very clean and so close to all the restaurants, shops and just across the street. Cheryl is very responsive if you message her. Highly recommend and will definitely be back again.

Carlsbad Beach Vacation

This property had a postcard view of the ocean and sunsets, and the location was convenient to shopping and dining. The underground parking was great. However, the pictures of the interior on the website did NOT accurately represent what we actually found. The 2 comfortable looking blue recliners have been replaced by 2 hard, armless side chairs, more suitable to an office waiting area than to movie viewing and lounging. The 3rd reclining chair shown, did not have the footstool needed for reclining. On the patio, a second bar-b-q grill (not pictured) not only cramped the available space, but blocked access to the master suite doors. The bed in the master suite was at such a sideways slant the one person seemed to be on a different level than the other. The photos online should be updated to reflect the reality of the property. The location and view did not really compensate for the less-than comfortable interior.

Close to the beach

The property was close to the beach. It was only about a 10 minute walk to Carlsbad village, which was nice. Conveniently located and clean.
