Nice secluded property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice property away from everything else. Has good food options on the property which is nice because everything is 15+ minutes away. Loved having a washer/dryer option in the condo. Also had a big balcony. Loved all the amenities we had + the kiddie pool that our 2 year old loved. Only cons we had was the floor was dirty. My child’s feet stayed black in the room along with ours if we were barefoot. Also the master bedroom/bathroom is kind of small with 2+ staying in it. Not much room to maneuver in there with barely one person. Jackie was a good host though and very easy to communicate with and gave us good food recommendations. We loved the Selah coffee house on property.

Overall our stay was amazing. Staying at plantation palms is the best, the grounds are easily accessible especially with children, easy walk to the pool and beach, and clean grounds. The unit was clean. Loved the view from the balcony and the fact that the sun never blazes on you!Negative comments:- Lack of cooking utensils, decent cookware, and the coffee pot. We are meal cookers and the unit was substantially lacking in the cookware department. No pizza cutter, rusty pans, etc. And a coffee pot that was not good.- Lack of wash cloths for the number of people. Was constantly having to wash and dry them.

Was not completely satisfied with some of the things you would need to buy as a person who flew into the area. Had to buy extra things that I wasn't able to take with me, so the unit could be more stocked (no spices, small things like that that you'd rather not buy for just a few days and then have to throw away). There are a few small places close by to eat, but the town itself with grocery stores/restaurants is about a 20 minute drive away. Found out from a local that the water is not the cleanest in the ocean here, so that would explain why no one was going in. Nice, pretty, white sand though. Depending on what you're doing, the drive in and out of this location to do things may get old.

Awesome location!

This was our 1st time at Gulf Shores and we are so glad we stayed here. It was close enough to get to everything in the city but far enough out that the traffic wasn’t bad and the beach wasn’t too crowded. The condo was great, clean, had everything we needed in the kitchen, & everything worked properly. The only thing I’d say that could be changed is having a lounger of some sort on the patio and the outdoor hot tub being open during the summer. The indoor hot tub was a big no for us. It was in a closed room with no windows so basically a room of boiling chlorine. The gym had everything we needed. We will definitely be staying here again.

Never disappoints!

This was our 10th staying at this complex but first year staying in this unit. Very clean and well equipped. The shower in the primary bedroom was so great with amazing water pressure. So many upgrades and management was very communicative. We will be back!

Our condo is fairly well equipped and clean. We had a few minor problems this year but between my husband and Jackie they were fixed. The view is spectacular, the condo is roomy, all in all its a great place to stay.

Beautiful room

The room was a nice cozy room. Cute beachy decorated. The only complaint we had about the room was the master bed was way to firm for us so we didn't sleep well. The resort seem to be more for families then couples. There was kids running around yelling the whole time. They overtook the outdoor hot tub so we never got to try it or the pool. We came to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and had hoped it would not have been as crowded as where we got married in Panama city but it was. Not the host fault but that resort was not peaceful at all. The kiva restaurant had way better food than the sassy bass island grill.

Peaceful and relaxing!

We had the most amazing relaxing stay at YOLO! My husband, two daughters ages 6&3, and myself all loved the condo. Everything was clean and decorated beautifully. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed for the meals we cooked in the condo. We loved the deck and furniture outside especially the hooks to hang wet towels and bathing suits on. My husband and I sat outside in the mornings and loved getting to see dolphins in the ocean. We also got a treat and saw the Blue Angels flying one afternoon. The property manager was super helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. We will definitely consider staying here again for future trips! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great view

Perfect getaway to celebrate 25 years of marriage and becoming empty nesters. Great view, easy access to the beach. Have stayed in this complex before and this condo had the easiest and best check in and check out process. Small enough for 2, large enough for 6 in my opinion

Cleanliness Not Up to Par

We love the location of Plantation Palms. The condo itself had everything we needed and also had a great selection of books! One of the bathrooms looks recently updated and looks really nice. The other bathroom could use an update (and it may be in the works). However, when you go to bed the first night after a day of travel, there should not be sand IN the bed. In one of the rooms, there was a sign to remove the comforter. After doing so, there was sand on the sheets. I realize you are instructed to call in regards to cleaning, but it isn't something you feel like worrying about at 9/10pm at night because I also don't think we should have had to inspect for sand in the beds upon arrival. Also, the blankets in the closets need to be washed more often (or replaced if they are permanently stained). This is not to be discouraging to anyone as we enjoyed our stay otherwise! The condo itself is very nice. I would just consider a different unit the next time.

Nice property close to beach but needs some attention

At a glance the unit looked nice (as photographed) but as we settled in we kept finding neglected details more typical of budget accommodations. We had to clean several things upon arrival we thought were dirty but in fact were just worn to the point they couldn't be cleaned. For the price we expected nicer. Not related to our specific unit, but the property in general - only one elevator works, so we had long wait times anytime we needed to go up or down. Otherwise the location was good, parking was easy and the security staff was very friendly. It was a quick easy walk down to a nice beach. The Sassy Bass was a nice amenity as well. The pools were OK. We would definitely consider staying at Plantation Palms again just not the same unit.

Perfect Getaway

Such a beautiful condo on beautifully well maintained property. The gulf view was amazing and there were plenty of amenities on-site. The property was just far enough away from the main part of Gulf Shores where it was never crowded. Very family friendly resort. The host very helpful and responsive to all communication.

Family vacay

Check in was painless since we followed directions ahead of time. Room was adequately clean. Location was great if you are looking for a quite time at the beach. Attractions were not a far drive. Great place to stay.

The view is the best!

It’s been a long time since we have spent quality time together. This was the best! Quiet, family friendly and the view….the view is the best. We had 6 adults and got along perfectly. We were able to do all the things each wanted without any time table. The resort is very peaceful and family friendly. People were very respectful of the quiet hours and noise levels. It’s a great community. Only 2 things: (did not affect the quality of stay but worth letting someone know) 1st - the sliding door in the living room is very heavy. We didn’t think it was a maintenance issue. It would be awesome if it was like the door in the master with a handle and opened more effortlessly. 2nd- the window in the guest room needs either blackout curtains or tint or something. At night the room is lit up like daytime from the lights in the parking lot. Over all. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thanks you for sharing your space!

great place to take young families. very safe and lots of fun things to do

The room was not very clean. The bathrooms were ok, but needed a better job cleaning the sink and shower and floor. We like the location and enjoyed the two weeks there. I think on check in that the guard should have on their computer our condo number and the payment on the parking ahead so we don't have to have the number on us in case we either forgot to bring it or lost it. I think that would be a reasonable request.
