Our home was designed around the idea that a truly good trip leaves you feeling restored. Whether you're here as a couple, a family, or a group of friends, you are welcome in our home and we would be honored to host you. We've thought carefully about what you might need, and then tried to go a bit further.

The house sits in a peaceful neighborhood where the streets are quiet, the neighbors are friendly, and the desert light does something remarkable in the late afternoon. From the front porch, you'll have unobstructed views of Mingus Mountain and the open desert. Keep an eye out for the quail that wander through regularly, along with cardinals, finches, orioles and other songbirds. It's the kind of place that makes you put your phone down.

Your private outdoor sanctuary:

~ Two propane fire pits, one in front with mountain views and one in back under the stars

We take care of our home, and it shows. The details matter to us. You having the best time at our home matters to us. It's why so many tell us they left wishing they'd stayed longer.
A few notes from us: We ask all guests to sign a simple liability waiver for the pool, sauna, and hot tub. The game room is smoke-free, along with the rest of the home and ping pong shed, and the fire pits are propane, not wood-burning and not suitable for marshmallow roasting. We do not allow more than 7 people on our property at any given time during your stay. Our goal is to be transparent about these things so that you can decide whether our home is a fit for your group before booking.

We got to enjoy all of the amenities that the house had to offer. It was great for the kids. The location was perfect! It was close to great hiking in Cottonwood as well as conveniently located close to Sedona. We were a few hours away from the Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon. The house was clean, well maintained, and offered a great view. We would stay here again!

Perfect vacation home

Fantastic Stay

The house is so cute and welcoming. We loved the jacuzzi and the lights outside. Also the view is beautiful. I highly recommend this property for your next stay. Very close to wineries and good food too :)

This is a beautiful home that is clean, new, well stocked without being cluttered. It has many fun things to do on the property. The views of the Mingus Mountains from the front porch are absolutely incredible! There are multiple sitting areas outside along with a pool, hot tub, sauna, fire pits, and many games. This is a 10/10 home and stay. Tammy the owner was easy to communicate with. This is the perfect place to stay while in Cottonwood!!

Great for Families

Great place to stay, especially with our 20-month old. There wasn't tons of random things for him to get into and there was tons of space for him to play inside and outside. Location was great for visiting downtown and the views from the front porch were amazing.

Would stay again

This home is beautifully decorated and it faces a mountain range which the front patio has great views of. We had everything we needed and used the hot tub each night. We went for a girls winery trip and this house is like 10-15 minutes from everything we did - downtown Cottonwood, jeep tour and Alcantara winery. Great stay!

Platinum Stay!

Our family of four spent 4 nights here in July 2025. Perfect location if you don’t want to stay right in Sedona. We were able to do a lot of hiking and visited Cottonwood, Jerome, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon and always looked forward to getting back to this house! Tammy and Court have thought of everything including little amenities that might be skipped somewhere else - a thorough welcome / informational binder, snacks, and coffee. The home was CLEAN and well taken care of. The pool was beautiful and hot tub were perfect. Communication was top notch! Would love to stay here again!

Such a beautiful home!

I can’t say enough great things about this house. The rooms were big with comfy beads, the living room and kitchen were great for gathering and spending time together, and the house was spotless. My absolute favorite though was sitting out front each day and enjoying the amazing scenery. We can’t wait to come back.

Amazing getaway close to Sedona

On our way to Casa Grande we decided on the fly to stop and visit Sedona, and this property was Perfect for our stay. The house was exactly as depicted in the pictures, very clean and modern furnishings were clean and comfortable. Tammy was easy to communicate with and checking in and out was a breeze. House is about 20 min from Sedona but we really enjoyed Cottonwood and is worth the drive. We will definitely stay here again!

Peaceful

This home was the perfect place for us to stay, as we had to be in Cottonwood for unfortunate reasons as we lost a family member. It was very nice to be somewhere that we could come together and celebrate life and not worry about hotel parking, other guests etc. we were able to feel relaxed and the hot tub in the evenings was a great way to unwind. House was nicely stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal, do laundry or even relax and watch a movie as if you were in your own home. Thank you for letting us rent from you.

Fabulous!

This property is five stars all the way. Outstanding home had everything and more for our family of four. Spacious, clean, tidy, organized, nicely decorated and fully stocked right down to the small details. Full kitchen, BBQ and plenty of seating everywhere we cooked our meals to start and end our days. Games room is fantastic and the hot tub is clean and situated for privacy. Safe quiet neighborhood location, your front panoramic view is a private ranch open field with mountains in the background, no neighbors in sight. Such a beautiful setting all around, we would sit outside every morning and enjoy birds chirping and flying about, very peaceful and relaxing. Short drive to Sedona and Grand Canyon is a day trip, shopping and stores minutes away. Owner has fantastic communication and promptly responds to any questions. I recommend booking this property 100% without question, we hope to return for a longer stay.

Look No Further for a Wonderful Sedona Area Property

1. Neighborhood – quiet. Looking out over open space. Easy to find the house and instructions for entering property were spot on. 2. House. Well appointed. Spotless. No smells, stains, extraneous items (God bless this house, etc.). Ranch layout so plenty of privacy between sleeping and living areas. TV and wireless worked perfectly, as did the large hot tub in a private area of the yard. Just exactly as described, with what you need and nothing more. Each bedroom has a king bed, and the mattresses were so good we wound up asking the host what they were so we could buy as we’re in the market for a new one and we slept so comfortably. The addition of Public Goods soaps and shampoos were a nice touch. Plenty of hot water, a Nest thermostat which regulated the temperature nicely. We felt instantly at ease in the house and really enjoyed our stay. 3. We always say the best indication of how good the property was is whether we would stay again, and there’s no question we would again when in the Sedona area.

Court has a job you don't hear of everyday...he makes motorcycle maps! Over the years of having really amazing vacation rental experiences and connecting with some great hosts, we've been inspired to become hosts ourselves! We are committed to giving our guests a really fun and memorable time at our MountainView Zen Retreat.
