Disappointment
I just wanted to express how disappointed we are with our stay at this house. Here are some of the issues we experienced:
Mouse in the house for three days, and nothing was done to solve it: We had a mouse in the house for three days straight. When we contacted the owner, they said they would contact animal services. However, nothing was done for three days to resolve the issue. Having mice in the house is a severe health hazard. They can spread several diseases, such as Hantavirus, Leptospirosis, Lymphocytic choriomeningitis, Plague, and Typhus. Last night, we saw it under the kitchen cabinet. Anything we use in the kitchen can be contaminated. We informed the owner about this issue, but they did not take it seriously. They even referred to it as "our rodent friend." This wild mouse is not a pet or my friend. It is freely moving around and can transmit many diseases. In the last message from the owner, they said they were sorry for the inconvenience and that pest services were unavailable. They could not even bring mouse traps to the house. This is not just an inconvenience; it is a life hazard. They did not take our complaint seriously at all. The first night, it was in our bedroom, so we had to sleep in the living room. The second night, it was in the kitchen and living room, so we had to close all the room doors and put blankets under them. We did not feel safe at all.
