Nice, but not as quiet as expected.
The cabin itself is very nice. Walk to the lake is more like 15 minutes rather than the 3 that’s advertised but not a huge deal. The opening at the lake at the end of the trail is very small, and heavily brushed in so you can’t see much of the lake. The beds in the cabin were pretty bad, with the advertised pull out couch not having an actual pull out mattress on it, but rather a 3” foam mattress topper instead. You could feel every bar on the frame through it, and the head end sagged down. When you’re driving out there it feels really remote and secluded, however the people on the neighboring property are pretty loud. Some lady was really loud over there the whole time, and the guy was constantly riding a 4wheeler or driving around a tractor, and their dogs barked all day and night. The guy was also shooting every morning and every night. I get it, it’s hunting season and I’m a hunter myself, but it would’ve been nice to know to expect that since the listing is for a remote and quiet getaway. All in all not a bad stay, but it could’ve been better. Host was very polite and easy to communicate with.
