Summary:

Ski-in, ski-out 6 – bedroom, 6-bathroom Chalet nestled at the base of Vail Mountain will sleep comfortably up to 14 guests. Northwood's is one of Vails most exclusive properties with an unmatched location. Situated at the base of Gold Peak on the East side of Vail Village with ski/in ski/out access to the Riva Bahn Express. Northwoods enjoys a hot tub, sauna, steam room, seasonal pool, and exercise room. Short walk to all the amenities, shops, restaurants and entertainment in Vail Village.



The Space:

Vail Ski Chalet features all the conveniences and amenities you should expect from a premium vacation rental property, and wonderful custom mountain. There is a large living room opens space kitchen, 14-person dining table, comfortable couch with spectacular views of Vail Mountain and Vail Valley. This place will make you feel as if you are home. The kitchen has everything you will need from coffee maker to subzero refrigerator. This Chalet has multi levels. First room is located on ground level features king size bed Tv and en-suite bathroom with shower. Second room located on upper level has spacious room with king size bed and great mountain views en-suite bathroom features with shower and tub. Same level has Tv Room with comfortable couch and king size bed out of hallway there is bathroom with shower. This room is kids favorite, for movie night or table games. Main level open floor plan features gourmet kitchen, living room with outdoor terrace where grill and additional seating is. Spiral staircases will take you to 2 bedrooms, each of the bedroom has 2 twin beds that can be made to king bed. Both rooms feature en-suite bathroom with shower. These two room have balcony. Top floor has bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds and 2 bathroom each has own shower. Bunk room has own balcony.

The Neighborhood:

Vail Chalet is located next to Gerald Ford Amphitheater, you are surrounded by the best things to do in Vail. Our property lies at the banks of Gore Creek and looks out at Vail's Golden Peak Mountain Base area. Ford Park and the Betty Ford Botanical Garden are across the bridge right in our backyard. In front of our resort, all of Vail Village awaits. Our property also features a convenient location amidst golf courses, bike trails, hiking trails, chairlifts and all that the area can offer. Rest easy, our location at the east end of Vail Village remains quiet and uninterrupted by Vail's world-class shopping, dining and nightlife.

Great place

House was in excellent condition. Large and spacious for 4 couples. Short walk across complex to slope and ski in to within 25 yards of front door. Very nice!

Very comfortable and perfectly located chalet in Vail

Our family and friends can’t thank enough Peter who made sure our stay would be most comfortable. He answered all our question, was very knowledgable about the area and Vail and the chalet was in perfect condition for our family to enjoy their stay in Vail during my daughter’s wedding near by. The beds are extremely confortable, so are the bathroom. The large living room, the many big TV’s, good working internet, the large and well equipped kitchen and having 2 large dining tables made it so easy and fun to eat in and enjoy the place all together. The Association jacuzzi-pool and gym are a great plus. The Northwoods Association is very well maintained with nicely landscaped grounds, in an ideal very quiet location within walking distance to the Vail village and a few steps away from the continuous free Vail shuttle buses. It also partially borders the golf course and offers open views on the course and mountains in the background. The proximity of the Golden Peak makes it an easy ski in-ski out home. We feel this is a home to enjoy as much during the Summers (big outdoor terrasse with a barbecue) than during the Winters. We absolutely loved it! Thanks again Peter and your team for the time you took to make sure all was perfect. We would love to come back!

Great place, lots of stairs, great location

Overall this place was great! Great location to the mountain, very clean when we came in, and property manager helped us get situated. Lots of stairs as all floors were split levels. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place on the mountain.

Five night Vail trip

Beautiful condo, incredibly decorated with all amenities you could want. Ski in/out to Golden Peak and short walk to Vail Village. We especially enjoyed the art in the condo and the steam shower steps away. Only downside is just two parking spots, which with a condo with this many available beds, could use another (which may not be possible). Overall a fabulous place to stay. Hope to be back

Best Christmas vacation yet!!

The property was perfect for our 14 person party from ages 7-76. Easy access to the slopes and town made everyone happy. The house had plenty of space for lounging and comfortable sleeping arrangements. And the spa was a much needed bonus. The best pet was the amazing service from Peter before, during and after our trip!!!

Family Celebration for 80th!

My family and I stayed at this lovely property in Vail Village for my father's 80th birthday. We had family ranging from 5 years old to 80! This was the perfect summer location for our crew. We attended a number of Bravo!Vail concerts at the Ford Amphitheater which is a short walk from the chalet. The main Vail village is also just a 5 minute walk. This chalet is an amazing property. The main living area/kitchen is very large with wonderful natural lights and is very nicely appointed. The kitchen was perfect for preparing dinners for our large family. The outdoor patio, off the kitchen, is a lovely oasis in this mountains paradise. This chalet has great space and flow with beautiful art and lovely furnishings. The property manager Peter is super professional and attentive always available for questions. We cannot wait to return!

Good for a group

This property was casual and nice. The layout is good for a large group. The top bunk room was very hot though so our teens ended up sleeping on couches. The kitchen is pretty well equipped but plates pans silverware etc is mismatched and not in top condition. Oven worked but we had some issues with getting it to temperature. The host was very responsive and did bring us a new blender since the one there wasn’t working.

Great property!

We spent a week at this incredible property located just steps from the slopes. It is a large unit with plenty of space for two large families. The unit is well equipped and the amazing art was a highlight. The property manager Peter was very attentive and helpful during our stay.

Perfect Vail Family Vacation

Perfectly comfortable, fully-amenitied home ideally located within walking distance of all Vail has to offer, this property is nestled within a gated community sharing common pool, spa and fitness center. The house itself is five stories high (private elevator) allowing views and privacy by floor. The common areas are large and comfortable -- great for lounging and gathering.

we had a lot of fun the house is perfect!

The house is very well equipped, is perfect for families and kids. Very close to ski school, and also to the mountain, we had an amazing vacation. The manager was very kind to us explain us everything, from the moment we arrived we felt at home. I recommended the house because it was very clean and well equipped. Definitely a perfect houese for families and friends.

Fantastic Property

I planned a group trip for 6 of my college buddies and me for a week of skiing at Vail. We could not have been more happy with this property. Peter is fantastic and really helped coordinate the entire trip including food delivery and ski butler service. The chalet is a at a perfect location for ski in and ski out. The property is very large and we had plenty of room. We are definitely considering a return to Vail and this property will be at the top of the list!

Awesome place, location and value, especially for large group

The property is on the east edge of Golden Peak, directly across from Betty Ford. Skiers take a short walk to the trail, put their skis on, and ski to the lift. The return from skiing is almost skiing to the door. Our group had 14 people, everyone had a comfortable bed, the bunk room slept 6 for us. The main floor was great for eating and entertaining, we grilled one night using the outdoor gas grill which worked great. Bathrooms in each bedroom were a godsend given the size of our group, and all bathrooms are high-end. We used the spa/gym everyday and it was awesome. Its shared by other units but was usually wide open. The walk into the heart of Vail Village takes about 10 mins, we walked in every day. Jump on the shuttle for Lionshead. We also used Uber which was quick. The place has an elevator to get stuff to the upper floors, that also helped a lot. Massive TV's in most rooms with all the channels you want and wifi. Northwoods is a very well run property, we parked 2 cars, one in the garage, one in the guest parking area. Our property coordinator Peter was excellent. He helped with stocking groceries, getting lift tickets, transportation, all at a discount. Great service! I would enthusiastically return to this property.

Beautiful, convenient and cozy condo

This is a truly beautifully built, five floor condo. It felt quite luxurious, spacious and at the same time cozy. It felt like this was someone's home, rather than a hotel, which we appreciated. There was also interesting and eclectic art which sparked many a conversation. It was convenient with a short 10 minute walk to vail village, 3 minute walk to the slopes, and very near Golden Peak ski school which was great for our kids. There was plenty of room for our entire family which included 10 adults and 3 young children. The first floor had the entryway with heated closets as well as a full size bedroom and bathroom. The second floor had the master (king bed) and its own full size bathroom, as well as another large bedroom (queen bed) with a couch. There was another bathroom off the hallway. The third floor had the kitchen, dining room and living room. It was spacious and cozy with enough room for all of us to be hanging out without feeling cramped. There was an outdoor area with a grill, gas fireplace and heated patio. The kitchen had brand new supplies and sharp knives! Our family generally cooks on vacation so we greatly appreciated all the top of the line equipment including two large family style pots! The fourth floor had two smaller bedrooms (both with twins pushed together) each with their own bathrooms and balcony's. The fifth floor was the loft, which was the bunk room, where the kids stayed. It was a great place for them, like a tree house, although had a tendency to get quite hot being at the top. Peter, from VisitVail, was very friendly, responsive and helpful. He met us there the night of the arrival at 6pm, which was greatly appreciated as it was hard to find where exactly the condo was inside the complex. The coffee maker was not working when we got there (had been clogged with grounds), and Peter brought a new (and nicer) one the next day. He was also able to get us discounted lift tickets and was always easily accessible a friendly. I have only a few negative comments. First, the description of the beds was inaccurate. The second, was the HOA is very strict, which did not feel welcoming (perhaps they don't like vacation renters). There was there is not a private hot tub, which was missed. Finally, there was only two parking spots, which was a hassle for us as we had more than two cars (and would see more often the case than not). Overall, we would recommend this place and would stay here again!
