Myself, my son-in-law and two grandsons (13 & 15) had a wonderful week in mid July. We were greeted by our hosts who gave us a very thorough and informative walk through of the cottage. It's a short boat ride from either of the local marinas.
Dmytro put us in touch with a local guide, Bully, who we spent a couple of days with and helped us catch some beautiful northern pike. He even cleaned them and gave us a great "shore lunch". We came home with over 20 pounds of fillets.
The main cottage, a log cabin, was spacious, clean and cozy. Two bathrooms ensured no one was waiting and there were two bedrooms, a large king bed in the main living room area, and a pull out couch in the front porch area. There was also a bunky that provided extra privacy and had a queen sized bed. Two wooden patio areas, one with a hammock, were a good size and allowed you to always catch a breeze. The kitchen was fully equipped with spices, oils, sugar, flour, basic necessities and all of the cooking utensils you would ever need. We were there during a very hot spell but it cooled off at night for comfortable sleeping.
We came into the area from highway 400 and stopped in Sudbury for our groceries. Granted, there were closer grocery stores but we loaded up at Costco.
It's a beautiful area conducive to relaxation, chilling with a nice cold beverage and a fine place to enjoy some down time.
Without hesitation our crew gives it a two thumbs up and would book the same place again.
