Our home is one of the first "eight" homes of significance around North Lake Washington. Over the years, many families have lived here, including the Dean of The University of Washington who implemented the Arboretum in Seattle.

Our home has undergone some major remodels over the last 100 years and features contemporary style while retaining much of its original charm. The unit you will stay has 1,200 square-feet (110 M2) of space, and was just renovated less than 5 years ago, all with new finishes.

You have your own private entrance with a self-check-in experience! Your space is separate from the main home, so feel free to come and go as you please.
Other things to note
Please note this is a private lower level suite (Unit B). Unit A, another rental unit, is on the upper level. You may hear some noise from time to time.

The entrance to the suite will be through one flight of stairs.

Please respect Quiet Time from 10 pm to 7 am.

2 parking spaces (in tandem) are available on the left side of the carport.

Surprisingly spacious

We only stayed one night while dropping off our son to UW, but the accommodation was lovely--wish we had stayed here instead of in Seattle. The back roads into the city were faster than the highway!

What we needed

Although unit B was hard to find and entrance needed some additional communication with the opener, once settled in, things were great. Shopping is 5 minutes away, amenities were great for 48 hours and able to facilitate our needs.

Lovely Basement Rental

Cute and modern basement rental. The kitchen is has a great gas range and wish I would have cooked on it. Only criticism of the place is the size of the bathroom. The rest of the space is open and airy.

Great location

Lukas’ place was a great place to stay! Perfect little place for our family to land while in town. Would definitely recommend staying here, and would stay here again. The only feedback I would say, which has nothing to do with the house itself is parking/street. It’s a narrow road and tight backing out of the driveway with a pick up. We made due, but was not something we thought about when reserving.

Perfect little get away

It was very clean, and they were extremely accommodating when we needed a pack and play. Beautiful view of the Lake. We didn't realize it was a basement made into an apartment so there was a little noise above nothing crazy. The only downside was the stairs were extremely steep and the bathroom very small elderly and larger people do not recommend. Besides that we enjoyed our time and would return again.

Great stay!

This was the perfect place for me and my two daughters. The owner was very responsive and very accommodating. The place was very clean and modern. Any issue I had the owner was on top of it and helped. And to be clear, the issues were not major. Just where certain things were at. Checking in and out was a breeze. I loved that there was a washer and dryer in the unit also. 10/10 would stay here again.

Lukas is an amazing host! Super communicative and friendly. The homes location is in a charming woodsy area and the lake view is astonishing. The night time lighting is super helpful walking up to the location. The home was clean and super conventional for me. This location does have 1 restroom which wasn’t an issue for me but might be for bigger parties. Overall it was a beautiful little home and I am looking forward to staying here again!

Great place & owner

Loved this location & basement apartment style rental. It was very clean, spacious & felt very home like. The shower is the only negative as it is tiny & hard to maneuver in as I am 6'6" tall, but it still does the job. The regular communication with the property manager/owner was clear, concise & Lukas is an awesome person to work with. Another negative we had was due to the "Bomb Cyclone" that hit the area on the 3rd night of our stay & knocked the power out. We never had power restored for the remainder of our stay & had no heat or hot water. Lukas was very understanding of our situation and did his best to alleviate any concerns we had & ensure our comfort. We will definitely book this location again when we return to the area to visit family.

Fantastic rental. Clean, comfortable cozy and has what you need. Worked great for our needs and would definitely stay here again. It’s a basement of a larger house but it’s smartly set up and feels homey.
