Perfectly updated nautical houseboat situated on the scenic Peconic River. Featuring two picturesque bedrooms, a full service eat-in kitchen and a living room with panoramic river view. Enjoy your morning coffee on the outside deck while taking in the sunrise. This historic waterfront town was named to Forbes Advisor’s “Best Places to Travel in 2023” — one of just 11 U.S. destinations on this year’s list. A must see for adventurers and families alike!

The houseboat is conveniently located in walking distance to downtown Riverhead which has an abundance of restaurants and breweries to choose from! You can walk out the door and step right onto the dock which will bring you to the Peconic Riverfront Park. Take a stroll along the river taking in all its beauty; then step down a side street to bring you into downtown for a great meal.

Treasure cove marina is just steps away to rent a kayak/canoe to escape down the Peconic River. The office is located in the parking lot bbehind the Hyatt hotel where you will also find a great restaurant called the Sea Side Grill! Riverhead also offers a bike share program! go to ridepedalshare.com for more information about bike rental. You will park in the free public parking lot located all along the Peconic Riverfront. There are many spots available and just a short distance from the boatel.

Great starting point to explore the north or south forks. The back deck was so peaceful and tranquil, and the place was nicely decorated and clean.

Gorgeous place, very comfortable and tons of things to walk to! It’s situated right behind the Long Island Aquarium which has a huge treehouse play area (pay required) that is almost in the front “yard” and there are kayak rentals around the corner. Our kids (10,8,5) had a blast!

Boatel Getaway

Our vacation at the boatel was fantastic! We loved all of the great attention to details of the houseboat. It was so fun to relax in and enjoy the river view. The host was very welcoming and we can’t wait to return.

Amazing Getaway Spot

The host was amazing with recs and early check in due to the towns festival set up. Such a cute property with tons of space and all you need in amenities. 10/10 highly recommend for a small group stay. Tons to do, great oysters and lobster rolls at Jerry & the mermaid just a short walk away. Close to westhampton for brunch and dinner as well.

Girls Weekend

Great place to stay for a girls weekend!! The Botel is decorated beautifully and conveniently located to dining, shopping and entertainment. Katy was extremely easy to communicate with. We look forward to returning for another great getaway!!!

Riverhead Boatel

The boat was beautiful, clean and comfortable in a great bit of town with great places to eat nearby. It is on a good spot on the river .. and lovely to have morning coffee on the deck. Riverhead is a quiet town but we found it great place to explore Long Island from .. visiting Montauk, Fire Island, North Fork and surrounding areas.

Such a unique experience

This was such a fun getaway! The boatel is clean and feels brand new, the nautical decor is spot on. The communication with the owner was timely and provided great information. Lots of options to walk for food or get in the car and visit the Tanger outlets or multiple farm stands, vineyards and breweries.

Unique and wonderful experience

This was the first time we ever stayed on a houseboat. This was an awesome experience. The property was tastefully decorated and added to the on the water experience. The location of the houseboat was great as well with plenty of dining options within walking distance and a quick drive to many beaches and farm stands!

Unique Adventure

A perfect getaway to gather with our three grandchildren. The location provided many walkable restaurant and recreation options. We did fishing (cooked 30 snappers we caught), river walks, and an escape room this visit. This botel was clean and beautifully decorated with a nautical theme and provided everything needed for a family vacay (full kitchen, internet and tvs). I liked the back porch for morning coffee and observing nature during sunrise over the River. This botel was a unique adventure for us. We all loved it!

Boathouse Boatel

My wife and I just finished our wedding weekend in Riverhead, I was lucky enough to stay at the Boatel the night before my wedding, and it was the perfect way to kick off such a special occasion. Katy was incredibly responsive and provided great information about the area. She even surprised us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate! The surfboard and nautical theme creates a modern, comforting aesthetic that's perfect for a waterfront stay. Perfect for everyone. It's also within walking distance of several excellent restaurants, fun activities, and the Long Island Aquarium for the kids. I couldn't have asked for a better place to get ready for my wedding! This should definitely be on Riverhead's top places to stay. Best wishes and thank you so much Katy!
