Pool House Oasis Close to Venice and Marina
This newer 3 bed/2bath duplex style home is centrally located between Venice & Marina Del Rey. Walking distance to local restaurants, markets, shops, and bars and less than 2 miles to the beach. The backyard pool and spa is exclusively for your use.
The key selling points:
1) A stunning secluded outdoor space with high fencing all around offering total privacy including your own swimming pool and spa! (Please see additional note on pool heating below). The expansive deck offers a space for outdoor dining along with comfortable outdoor furniture and lounging areas surrounded by a variety of plants including many beautiful succulents.
2) A central location walking distance to numerous restaurants, bars, shops, the marina, etc. You're also less than a 10 minute bike ride to Venice Beach, the boardwalk, or popular Abbott Kinney shopping. Main Street, Rose Avenue, downtown Santa Monica and the pier, Culver City and the airport are also just a short Uber away.
In addition to the above, the home itself boasts a beautiful open floor-plan with vaulted ceilings in every room and is furnished with a modern yet comfortable style.
The indoor living space has a very spacious and bright living room with 3 french doors, recessed lighting, comfortable furniture and a 75” Samsung TV. There is a sleeping sofa/futon in the living room (it will be made upon request only)
Kitchen is well equipped with new stainless steel appliances including a large double door refrigerator, dishwasher and a stovetop with convection/microwave ovens that can handle most cooking needs.
Primary bedroom has a king-size bed with ensuite bathroom and a closet for your belongings. It's bright with high ceilings, recessed lights and a TV.
The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, also bright with high ceilings, a closet and double doors.
The third bedroom is accessed via stairs and is a smaller loft with a full-size bed better suited to those who aren't very tall.
The primary bathroom has a walk in shower while the other bathroom off the hallway has a shower/bath combo, both bathrooms are equipped with bidets.
The entry and garage area is safe and secure with well lit motion detector lights and video recorder in the garage area to monitor the main entry point.
PLEASE NOTE: This property is suitable for families, couples, a quiet group of friends and business traveling and is NOT suitable for parties of any kind. Any party, function, large group gathering and/or any unauthorized guests are strictly not allowed.
POOL HEATING: It takes a long time for the pool to heat, approximately 5 hours in the winter, and is getting very expensive with the increase in natural gas prices. As a result, I will be charging an extra $50/day to heat the pool after one free day per week of your stay. I don't charge to heat the spa for a few hours which is much quicker. Also note that the heater can only heat one at a time.
Guest access
NOTE: You have total privacy to the pool/backyard and the 3 bed/2 bath unit described during your stay. This is a duplex that shares a wall with another unit but there are no doors linking the two units and the other unit will not have access to the pool/backyard during your stay. In turn, guests should not wander into the gated front yard of the other duplex unit which is the host's private space.
Guests will have access to one car parking in the carport plus free street parking is also available for additional cars (if you have a very large car you may feel more comfortable parking on the street space wise). Please do not park in the alley by the garage as this is prohibited. You may see the host getting his car from the carport during the day but that's the only time you'll see him unless you request something.
Other things to note
Bicycles are very popular in the area as it's only a 10 min ride to Marina del Rey, Venice beach and trendy Abbot Kinney. Bikes can be rented a block away from the property on Washington or down at Venice Pier where there's a long bike path along the boardwalk all the way to Santa Monica Pier and beyond which is quite a beautiful ride and very popular.
Uber and Lyft can get you pretty much anywhere you need to go and there's a number of electric scooter and bike apps that can be downloaded such as BIRD which are also very popular in the area and convenient to use.
Water sports can be found at Marina Del Rey Harbor close by.
