This house was ideal for our group of 8 adults. The location — just across the street from the beach — couldn't have been better, and the views from the third floor balcony were amazing. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax, and it made for such an easy, enjoyable stay. We'd absolutely book this place again!

Our three generation family enjoyed a lovely week at Sun of a Beach. The ocean was across the street and easily accessible for sunrise walks, flying kites, dolphin watching and playing in the surf. The pool was warm enough for the kids to play in for hours, with lots of space for others to lounge around. And the house was very clean, the kitchen fully stocked, with an outside grill available, and plenty of room for our group of nine to hang out, play games and read books. Town is just a walk or a bike ride away with restaurants and shops, and the State Park was nice for kayaking and paddle-boarding. Hoping to come back next year!

Family fun at Sun of a Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of seven enjoyed another great week at St. George Island. This was our second year staying at Sun of a Beach. We love the layout of the house and it is beautifully decorated. We did notice some wear and tear on some of the upholstered furniture but that is to be expected with a rental. We would love to pick this house up and move it to the east end of the island which is our preferred location. But all in all it was a great week!

Great Location and very nice house

Our family enjoyed our week long stay at this property. The house is located steps from the ocean and has a great outdoor pool and space. It was super easy to move from the beach to pool when the kids were tired and ready to come in. The inside was spacious and clean and fit our family of 10 perfectly. We did have some small issues with the property. The pool wasn’t cleaned when we showed up and a sliding door lock had been broken off one of the bedroom doors preventing it from being opened. We called and let management know and they were kind and responsive and said someone would be out the next day. The pool was cleaned 3 days later, which wasn’t a huge problem but maintenance never showed up for the door. All and all, very small issues. We definitely will be back and enjoyed the memories we made in this house!

Sun of a Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation rental property was good. Our experience with the management and pool company was extremely disappointing. We paid for a heated pool and the kids could comfortably be in the pool one day. Since this was a focal point for our vacation we were very disappointed each day we were told it will be at temperature tomorrow.. The pool person stated on our last days the system was new and she wasn't sure how to use it. At the end of the week when we reached out to the management company no one responded to us. This $480 should all be given back to us for the lack of pool use and the frustration and stories we were told that the poolShould be good tomorrow and this did not happen. Very frustrated with the entire situation.

Hi there, We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. We're so sorry for the experience you had with the pool heat and for not receiving a response on Friday of your vacation. Each time that you reached out to us regarding the pool heat (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), we contacted the pool company to let them know that you guys didn't think that it was working. Turns out, the pool heat wasn't on when you guys arrived and it takes a bit to heat to the set temperature, so we refunded you $200 (3 days' worth). The reason we didn't compensate you for the entire week is because the pool tech told us that the pool heat was working fine once turned on and beings the outside temperature got below 60 degrees, the pool heat shuts off and starts back up once the outside temp is over 60 degrees, which we then reiterated to you. The tech never told us that there was an issue with the heater and that it wasn't working. Again, we are so very sorry for the experience with the pool heater, and we would like to offer you 10% off of your next stay we have the opportunity to host you again in the future. -GCVP

The house is beautiful and did not disappoint! Being able to jump in the pool after a hot day on the beach was wonderful! The outdoor shower made it extremely easy to go from beach to pool without having to step into the house. We really appreciate the fenced-in yard, especially with all the littles we had with us!The kitchen and house was well stocked with equipment and utensils and made meal prep very easy. The house was very clean and had several choices of entertainment available; books, games, outdoor areas, televisions, and very reliable internet!Great choice for a worry free vacation!!

Absolutely. Here's a more natural, local response that feels less polished and puts the focus on St. George Island Vacations as the host. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review! We're so glad Sun Of A Beach was a great fit for your family. There's nothing better than cooling off in the pool after a day at the beach, and we're happy the outdoor shower and fenced yard made things a little easier with the little ones. At St. George Island Vacations, we work hard to make sure our homes are clean, well stocked, and ready for our guests to relax from the moment they arrive. It means a lot to hear you had everything you needed for a worry-free vacation. We appreciate you staying with St. George Island Vacations and hope to host you again on your next trip to the island!
