Property was exactly as advertised. The configuration of beds was perfect for our needs. It was close to the venue for the wedding we attended. Moses was great to deal with.Overall a great experience.

A comfortable house in a nice location

The house was excellently set up for comfortable stay and was in a handy location .Our dogs loved the large backyard .Moses ,our host was most welcoming .We were jere to visit our baby grandson and it was lovely to come back everyday to such a clean and comfortable home.Thankyou we will return here for sure .

Comfortable, clean and cozy

Very nice and cozy with plenty of space and very clean and the main thing for us was our fur baby was allowed to stay with us, the host was very helpful and great to deal with. 10/10

Clean property/Host good at communicating

The property is located on the northeast side and a considerable distance from Melbourne. Uber is available in the area but nothing within walking distance was open due to Boxing Day. The property itself was clean and the host was great at communicating and very responsive.

Quiet family getaway

Eltham Retreat was perfect for us. We spent our Christmas in Melbourne & chose the location as it was close to family. The house was neat & tidy. Enough space for everyone and had all that a family requires for a home away from home . The local shops had delicious takeaway food options, we did shopping at Doncaster & Elthsm while being close enough for us to venture to the city. Lovely parks in the neighbourhood for kids to play & run too!

Relaxing family home in Eltham

Although a bit run down from the outside, inside was lovely and restful with wooden floor boards, big windows, big garden, comfortable furniture and beds and newly renovated and very functional kitchen and 2 bathrooms Moses was very helpful and easy to communicate with Bolton St is a main road and traffic could be noisy. Overall, it worked very well for us

Neat, tidy & spacious

Spacious home, very clean & tidy. Plenty of seating in lounge & family room. Walking distance to takeaway shops. This was a great house for a large group, only downsides were it’s on a busy road with very steep driveway, incorrect listing on Stayz there is no double bed in lounge, all single beds are not suitable for tall people, more like suitable for 8 people as the futon is family room is not suitable to sleep on. Overall though a great house.

Great stay in Eltham!

We had a great recent stay at Moses' home in Eltham. It was very clean and well appointed. We had our pup with us, and it was the perfect spot. Close to lots of shops. Communication was really great wih Moses. Easy to get in touch with, and he made sure we had a wonderful stay with the kids. He even sent links to local attractions that he thought the kids might like. Only one minor thing - the third bedroom was locked when we arrived. Our kids were fine sleeping in the same room, but other kids may not want to bunk together. If this is the case for others, maybe just a quick text to Moses to discuss ahead of time! Thanks so much for such a great stay!

For that much money I would have expected nice soft, unstained towels, not towels you could use instead of sandpaper. Also most of the mugs are chipped, the fry pans are all losing their teflon and scratched.

Convenient and well appointed

We enjoyed staying here - the house is really well appointed and everything works. Moses was a lovely host, very responsive. We will stay here again.

Our Stay

We found our stay reasonably comfortable, although we all thought a lot of maintenance is needed, the front steps need some attention, the bathroom door doesn't close, the back deck is deteriorating, the guttering above the back door needs replacing, it leaks water badly when it rains and has damaged the eaves, and lastly quite a bit of mould in the showers. Kitchen facilities were great and the Foxtel and internet was a good extra. The owner was extremely pleasant

No complaints here! Great stay.

5 stars for this rental. I stayed at the rental for 4 nights and it was perfect for my trip to visit family. I loved that I could walk less then 4 minutes down the street for coffee, groceries and meals. Great location. The rental was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Communicating with the property manager was great. He was detailed, timely in communications and great to deal with. Highly recommend and will stay again.

Great stay and close to the Yarra Valley!

Our stay was perfect for what we needed. Which was a base for our trip out to the Yarra Valley and to have a place for our dog to feel at home whilst traveling Victoria. If you’re looking for a base close to the Yarra Valley with a home feel this is it. The property is large and dog friendly which was a major draw factor for us. Moses the owner was a delight to deal with, super responsive and great with advice on the area. Honestly couldn’t fault the stay, the property had minor wear and tear that Moses gave advice on prior to arriving. The honesty was appreciated. Highly recommend!!

Cosy relaxed atmosphere

Stayed here whilst insurance work carried out at our property. Warm, clean everything we needed for our stay, even dogs catered for. Moses quick to answer any queries. My only comment would be front steps extremely dangerous when wet as they are steep and like ice after rain and so slippery. We almost fell after it rained but this was mentioned to owner and he stated he would look at installing rubber tread which would help. All in all basic but with everything you need. Bright and airy walk to shops.being on a main rd not an issue, very quiet at night.

In need of TLC. Poor shower head, wonky front steps. Windows needed cleaning inside and out. So it was overpriced for what it was.
