Okay, so this ultra-luxury shul is now my favorite place to stay in all
of New York.
It's spectacular! Stylish and airy, this place is massive - with floor
after floor of gorgeous and roomy quarters.
Who knew this even existed in the East Village? Or all of New York?
Totally unique.
I lived in the area in the 90s and it is such a treat to be able to
return to the historic, funky neighborhood and stay in 5-star
accommodations. Tompkins Square Park is right there, and Soho, West Village, Union Square and much more are walking distance for us.
The kitchen is fantastic - state-of-the-art and perfect for large dinner
parties - where else in the city is that possible?
The rooftop hot tub was so relaxing and a must after walking around town.
The beds were super comfortable. It really felt homey, like sleeping in
my own bed.
Giant, and I mean GIANT, windows bathe the main living area with
beautiful natural light.
There are also really sweet outside areas to eat, read, meditate or hang out. That is so rare in the city.
Lastly, the bathrooms are all really pretty tile. You could get lost in
the master bath.
No scrimping on any details here.
It was really fun and I'll be back. Highly recommended.
Dare I say, "Religious experience?"
