Great location, clean but needs major updates

We rented this unit with our teenage son. While the unit was clean and has a great location, it is in need of a more update. The bathroom is so dated - the shower head comes through open tile/ the water is hard to regulate/grout is nasty. The pullout sofa had metal rod making it uncomfortable to sleep on. It has a lot of potential but needs updating. The rental staff was nice and the check in and out easy. .

Great Location

We walked across the parking lot and skied right down to the Gondola. Jacuzzi is right outside the unit. Everything was very clean

Great location

Simple lodging but with all the necessary comforts made for a great experience! Right by the slopes, an awesome hot tub, ski lockers, and cozy condo with fireplace.

As expected

The price is higher than I wanted to pay because I booked it at the last minute. Otherwise no complaints. Good location, very clean, kitchen is fully equipped, bed is comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at the Ski Trails Condo! The apartment was very clean and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook meals. Quiet--no noise from neighboring units and super easy access to the slopes. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Extremely easy ski in /ski out access. Convient ski locker and free bus location. Mattress was great and foam mattress pull it sofa was good as well. Well equipped kitchen. Great hot tub!

It was a place to sleep!

After reading past reviews we were hesitant to book this place. Honestly, the only reason why we did book it was because we were joining 6 other families in Steamboat for a family ski weekend and this place was the closest available location to the other families. I would not stay here again. The front burner on the stove has not been fixed. It only runs on "high". Use caution when using this burner. The toaster does not work. Only one person can fit in the kitchen at a time. Dishwasher extremely loud...don't use when you're home (unless you don't mind yelling over it). We were a family of 4 and living quarters were very tight. Mold in the bathtub. Regular mattress is fine, but the one on the sleeper sofa is ok for kids but probably not for adults (who actually want to sleep during the night). Neither of the heaters work (living room and bed room). We cranked them all the way up as high as they go and they never turned on. We had to use the fireplace to heat the condo but couldn't leave it on all night because it got way too hot in the living room. Therefore, we all woke up freezing each night around 2am. Other than these issues, the place was very clean. Luckily we were only in the condo at night to sleep.

I've stayed at these condos several times but not this particular unit. I loved the ground floor location. Right across from the hot tub. Location to ski runs is great. Mattress in unit is the worse I've ever had to sleep on. It's like a concrete slab and I like a firm mattress so I'm not exaggerating. We alternated sleeping on the couch( not the couch bed because that was bad too). I even tried to make a palate on the floor. I've been exhausted this trip after skiing all day and not being able to sleep. Shower was bad too. No water pressure. Info for owners: invest in sleeping and in bathrooms. You ski all day. What do you want. A good hot shower and a comfortable bed.

Average at best and below expectation for the cost

The property was clean and the location was stellar however I was very underwhelmed with a few things on the unit itself. I felt like for the price of our stay, the unit needs to have some upgrades and I felt like the VRBO add was a bit misleading. The finishes are very outdated which is not a problem for me, but at a minimum there should be an HDTV in the unit and the internet access should work, it didn't. The other huge challange we had was making breakfast in the morning. One of the burners would either go 100% on or not work at all. I nearly burned down the place (partially kidding) with a grease fire making bacon...the stove top had no adjustment, either all on or all off. Luckily I tried one of the small burners and it worked OK, but not before filling the entire unit with grease smoke. Again, I think the VRBO add was misleading and for the price of the unit, I was expecting HDTV, working internet and a stove that worked. I do think the management company was very nice, professional and helpful. Everyone we talked to from reservations, to checkout were great.
