Cidney, we are so glad you are repeat guests and have enjoyed Smoky Mountain Cottage. The view is outstanding. Thanks for leaving a review and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

We are so glad to hear that Smoky Mountain Cottage was perfect for your family and could accommodate you all well! The hot tub is a great, fun touch and the view is certainly amazing as well! We hope that you all will come back and stay with us again soon!

Thank you Joyce! As part of our core value of being good stewards we always want our chalets to be in great condition for your guests so that they can just enjoy their stay with no worries. The location of Smoky Mountain Cottage is perfect to be close to the city, but also feel miles away in the woods. We look forward to having you back!

Thank you for the review Peggy! We are so glad that you enjoyed Smoky Mountain Cottage, it is one of those chalets that is hard to leave once you are there! We love the amazing view of this chalet, and how cozy it is on the inside. It would be great to have you back with us soon!

Thank you for your review of Smoky Mountain Cottage. I have spoken to head of housekeeping and the kitchen will be checked and fully stocked if necessary. The deck has 4 chairs and a table and also more chairs in the screened in porch which are adequate for the chalet which only sleeps 4 people. We do not leave any perishable items such as salt and pepper shakers due to bugs or they could be tampered with at any time so we are sorry if this was an inconvenience to you. Hope to see you again soon.

Cheryl, thanks so much for the review and we are glad you enjoyed your visit at Smoky Mountain Cottage. The bears are always a fun surprise, but always remember to lock your car doors! Please keep us in mind the next time you plan a visit to the Smokies.

Thanks for the review. The forest visitors have a path through your yard and the surrounding neighbors, so it is best to keep a sharp eye out and always have an unlocked door near by for a quick getaway. The deck at Smoky Mountain Cottage is a favorite of our guests offering an unobstructed mountain view. We hope to see you again soon.

Thank you Christen! We are glad you enjoyed your time with us at Smoky Mountain Cottage. Thank you for letting us know of your concerns, at Mountain Laurel we always strive to a fantastic guest experience, so we appreciate the feedback. We hope to have you back again with us soon!

Sorry you experienced some inconvenience due to maintenance issues at Smoky Mountain Cottage. Repairs are usually done quickly after being discovered, or if a guest reports an issue, we try to address it while the guest is here. We leave that up to the guest, if they want us in the cabin or not. If it's a safety issue, it will be taken care of immediately. Not sure what you mean about the toilets being torture. They are at a standard height for toilets and in good working order. There are currently no grab bars in the showers, but we will look into adding those for our guests who need them. If you could contact the office with any specific repairs you saw, we would truly appreciate the call. It is unfortunate the way you feel about the reviews because they are from actual guests and reflect their experiences. We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future.

We are so glad to hear that you all got your money's worth with your stay at Smoky Mountain Cottage! Our goal here at Mountain Laurel is to treat our guests like family and give you a limited edition vacation experience! It is so good to hear that the location and amenities of the chalet lived up to that! We hope that you will come back and stay with us again soon!

You picked a great chalet with Smoky Mountain Cottage! We also love the cozy décor inside, and the view never disappoints. It is great to know that you all continue to love Mountain Laurel, as we always love having you, and we hope to see you again soon.

Melissa, We are so surprised by your comments and will look into this. Other guest continually remark on how much they love this house. The kitchen sink is copper so there tends to be a patina on it. The wood burning fireplace sometimes leaves a woodsy smell but we checked out the smell and didn't smell anything or any hint of fabeze. Were you able to contact the office with any concerns as we would have addressed those immediately.

Yes! Smoky Mountain Cottage is amazing, and we are so glad that you thought so as well! We do apologize about the TV, we always want to resolve any issues that our guests have quickly and efficiently! We look forward to having you stay again!

Thank you for your review. We have addressed your concerns and new furniture is on its way. The deck has new rockers and the porch was visited by some curious bears. We are addressing each of these issues.
