Mary and Lex are seasoned hosts who include a lot of special personal touches to make your stay comfortable. The apartment is very spacious, with the most comfy giant sectional sofa ever. Half and half for the home roasted coffee gift, throw blankets for every seat, wine in the fridge, duraflame logs, snack basket and fresh flowers are all appreciated. The view from the deck is stupendous and includes visits from deer and squirrels! Although there wasn't a pretty sunset during our mostly cloudy visit, we spent two great sunny afternoons there on the deck, drinking wine while looking at the bay before the fog rolled back in. The state parks parking pass was a huge bonus, saving us 12 for every day we went to any Oregon State parks. The downside of this lodging is it is a mile and a half from the main road up on a wooded residential hill. There is nothing walkable from the apartment, so you have to drive to take a walk. So we bought groceries instead of dining out, went to state parks all day and cooked in the beautiful well-equipped kitchen with a view of the bay. It was great to have sharp knives and outside seating. Highly recommend!
