Summary:
Mazama Panorama is a newly remodeled two-bedroom, two-bathroom cabin on Wilson Ranch, set at the edge of the forest wilderness. The 2026 remodel brings a new galley kitchen, washer and dryer, central heat and AC, and Starlink internet. One bedroom has a king with a full bathroom adjacent; the other a queen with an en suite tub bathroom. Sleeps six with a queen sofa bed in the living room. The Methow Community Trail runs through the ranch with direct access to nordic and bike trails.
The Space:
Mazama Panorama sits on Wilson Ranch in Mazama, at the head of the Methow Valley. Tall pines, open meadow, and views to Goat Wall to the south. The cabin was remodeled top to bottom, completed May 2026: cedar plank walls and hardwood floors in the main living areas, tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, carpet in the bedrooms.
The living room runs across the front of the cabin with windows on two sides. A gas stove for cold nights, a leather sofa and easy chair, a dining table for six, and a wide-screen TV. The sofa folds out into a queen bed.
The expanded galley kitchen is fully new. Full-sized range with hood, dishwasher, full-sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster, on stone counters with a two-seat overhang for casual eating. The washer and dryer are in the same run, with pantry space opposite.
The king bedroom has wood trim, a reclaimed-wood headboard, and corner windows looking into the forest. The full bathroom adjacent has a shower. The queen bedroom has its own corner-window reading desk and an en suite full bathroom with a tub, oak vanity, and matte black fixtures.
Outside, the covered deck has a propane grill, two Adirondack chairs, and a picnic table on the lawn. Parking for two vehicles.
Central heat and air conditioning throughout, via mini-split with ceiling cassettes. Starlink internet, typically 100–150 Mbps down and 10–15 Mbps up.
The Methow Community Trail runs through Wilson Ranch, connecting directly into the upper-valley nordic ski and mountain bike network, including the Jack's and River Run trails, and on to the Mazama trailhead hub. In winter the Sandy Butte nordic trail passes close to the cabin, with ski-in/ski-out access from the door.
North Cascade Heli Skiing operates from the Freestone Inn nearby on Wilson Ranch. Expect to see and hear helicopter takeoffs and landings during ski season.
The Neighborhood:
MAZAMA
Wilson Ranch is located 2 miles (10 minute bike ride) from the Mazama Store and the Methow Trails trailhead (for great hiking, mountain biking and cross-country ski trail options). In addition to the store with its great bakery and grocery, Mazama is home to the Goat’s Beard outdoor store (with mountain bike and fat bike rentals), the Mazama Ski School for cross country ski hire and lessons and the Mazama Public House. Please be aware that the Sandy Butte Bistro at the nearby Freestone Inn is not currently operating, and Jack's Hut may or may not be open on a very limited basis.
NORTH CASCADES NATIONAL PARK
The Wilson Ranch cabins are also conveniently situated for easy access to the North Cascades and the trailheads to many of the Park's world-class hiking trails. It’s under 20 minutes drive to the Cutthroat Lake trailhead, 25 minutes to Washington Pass and 30 minutes to Maple Pass trailhead. Great for beating the crowds and snagging a trailhead parking spot at peak seasons.
