First tropical vacation!

Comfortable and very roomy for our family of four. Loved the views. Especially enjoyed the pool at night hearing the waves and watching the palm trees in the breeze.

Gentle Winds Family and Friends Vacation

Had a great vacation at Gentle Winds. Great location for large group traveling together. Each had there own place to lay their head however, were able to all be together at beach, pool, and food shack.

Great rental

Property is very well equipped and comfortable. Beach and pool on site were great and we were able to easily travel around the island from this location. The owner and on site manager were both great during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay!

Beautiful location

Great Gentle Winds condo

Had a great stay at the condo, very well appointed and comfortable, kitchen well stocked with accessories if you choose to cook. Pool is very nice and the Snack Shack never disappoints. Will be back!

Perfect Place to Stay in St Croix

I think Gentle Winds is the perfect place to stay on St Croix. Private pool, beach, snack bar. Also not a lot of units so the space per person is perfect. This condo was really great as well. Very nice and updated. Would stay nowhere else if we come back.

Great property and great time!

My wife and I stayed here for 6 days and loved every minute of it. Condo was very clean and had everything we needed including plenty of beach supplies. Nice pool, beach and convenient pool bar and grille that was open each afternoon. Condo is centrally located on the island with several good restaurants located nearby and Christiansted and Frederiksted not too far either way. I would recommend for families or couples and we will stay here again.

I've stayed in this unit three times in the past year. Great location and unit.

The unit is well appointed with everything you would need for a beach vacation. If you prefer not to eat at restaurants this unit has every thing you can think for to prepare all your meals. Great deal!!

Friends, This property has the home feel. Everything you need, they have. Steps from the beach and pool. If you're feeling lazy, there is a bar / grill within steps from the beach. Need to rest and relax, spend some time at Calypso Condo.

Really Nice Condo

Calypso Condo was nothing less than spectacular. Very well furnished, lots of towels, plenty of dishes and silverware, comfortable chairs and beds, really nice layout, great appliances. Pool was super as was the beach and snack bar. No hot water upon arrival but Angela got the fixed pronto. We will be back.

Calypso Condo at Gentle Winds

Calypso Condo is a wonderful place to stay! Barbara(the condo owner) has thought of everything to make your stay relaxing and memorable. Our group was 5 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone. The condo has been very tastefully decorated and is close enough to the ocean you can hear the waves breaking onto the beach. Barbara is a very attentive owner and we even received an email during our stay making sure everything was going ok. Calypso Condo was better than advertised!!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Communication was excellent. The on site Sunny shack for lunch was a great option. We enjoyed exploring the island and had everything that we needed in this unit. Highlights included: Horse back riding, zip lining, snorkeling at Buck Island and hike to Carambola tide pools. Some dining recommendations: Salt and AMA for more upscale Mill for pizza on the boardwalk Rowdy Joe’s for casual but tasty Rythyms at Rainbow beach for sunset

Escape from reality

This property was absolutely amazing. Property manager was awesome and went above and beyond when we had flight issues. She truly cares about her guests. House was perfect and property was so beautiful. The snack shack and Nick were awesome for food and drinks at the pool. She had everything you could need right there for you. We were all very happy with our stay here and out of all the places we saw on the island THIS was the best!!!!

Excellent Condo

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our 8 day stay at the Calypso Condo. The listing description and photos were very accurate. It was clean and well maintained. The view was excellent from both floors. Barbara was very prompt and accurate in her communications regarding the reservation. We enjoyed the snorkeling at Cane Bay, the Estate Whim Plantation, the St. George Botanical Garden, and eating at restaurants on the Christiansted boardwalk.

Better than the pictures!

This is a gorgeous condo, so conveniently located and offering every amenity. The views are amazing, and it's just a short walk to the lovely pool and beachfront. The owner has provided everything you could think of or a comfortable and relaxing stay. We had plenty of room and thoroughly enjoyed everything about this condo and the complex itself. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well-stocked for those nights you want to eat in. The owner responds very promptly and is quite accomodating, and we wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again on subsequent trips to St. Croix.

Fantastic!

This vacation was even better than imagined. The owner is very responsive. The unit is well stocked with everything needed for a great time. Plenty of pots, pans and cooking utensils. Noodles and beach towels, basketball, football, games, movies, books, tennis racquets, and there’s still more! The beach even has a snack shack for food and drinks made to order. We will definitely be back!!

Oceanfront R & R

Group of 6 adults on our annual "Winter Warmer" trip. Condo was just as advertised. It was spacious, clean, naturally cool with beachfront breeze, well stocked for cooking needs (pots, pans, condiments & spices), short walk to pool & beach & overall pretty quiet & relaxing Spent lots of time on beach with plenty of sun, swimming & snorkeling. Prepared & cooked most meals. Good conversation, libations & food at the pool Snack Shack. Great complex for a morning or evening walk/jog. Had a few minor issues that we were able to work around. Overall, a very enjoyable, non-tourist intensive stay. Will consider again in the future.

Best family vacation- ever

The condo is just as nice as described. I think it is more important to note that Barbara is an attentive owner. She promptly answered my emails and followed up with us on vacation. Barbara also has a contact person in the area in case the condo has something unexpected happen. My husband and I enjoy snorkeling and the beach at the condo is a nice, easy place to snorkel. The view of the surrounding hills and forest is breathtaking and is visible from land and sea. We would definitely want to vacation at the condo again.

I have always enjoyed snorkeling and never get tired of watching fish in their natural habitat. In addition, the Gentle Winds location is private and never feels over crowded.

We are in the middle of a horseshoe ring of buildings facing the beach. Our view is directly at the water facing north. Being able to walk out on the beach whenever I feel like it is the height of luxury to me. Even in the summer, when you are in the shade at the beach with the trade winds blowing, the weather is perfect for reading and catching up on novels. With two master suites on two levels it's great for having family and friends visit.
