Your only decision will be whether you should have your morning brew on the deck out front or in one of the sitting areas in the back. Warmth abounds with walls of cedar and floors of burnished oak, Mexican tile, and natural stone in the deluxe shower. Soak in the cast iron clawfoot tub for your personal spa retreat. If you feel like cooking, there is a large, fully-equipped, country kitchen with a breakfast nook and dining room as well. Otherwise, there are great restaurants in Talent and many more in Ashland. Hit the wine trails, see a play at the Camelot, Cabaret, or Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The host can guide you if you’d like to take day trips to Crater Lake, raft the Rogue River, enjoy the jet boat tours of Hellgate Canyon or ski Mount Ashland. The owner lives on the property and can greet you or leave the door open and light on for you. If you’d like an art experience, you are invited to join your artist hostess with a mixed media collage workshop in her studio. (nominal fee) A weekend at The Cedar House is like a weeklong vacation.
