Unfortunately, while this place has lots of potential many things distracted from it being an ideal place for a group of older women. Most significantly the driveway and path to the steps up to the house is treacherous, with erosion all around the entrance to the house, making it difficult to maneuver and get people and luggage in and out. There is a moldy musty smell in parts of the house, especially downstairs(people with allergies had a hard time) and the fireplace needs a good cleaning as does the toaster oven and Keurig, which was unusable because it was so dirty. In addition, the main part of the house has one wall air conditioner in the loft, and the fan remote was missing so could not be used. The owner who was very attentive and tried to help but did not know where it was. He did offer to send someone but that person never showed up. The bedroom on the main floor and the twin room and bunk bedroom have no AC. The bunkbeds were made for children and we were unable to use them because you could not sit in them without banging your head.Other safety issues include the banister heading to the down stairs, is very shaky and held together with string, bathmats are missing from two of the bathrooms, making it very unsafe to shower, and the rug at the entrance is a trip hazard because it curls up on the sides. On the plus side, the house has a spacious great room, beautiful deck, and a nice bigtable for people to sit at. Lots of potential but needs TLC inside and out.
